Very nice hike, up hill for the 1st 3 miles with some leveling off. Then down hill to the lake. Very rocky trail lots of loss rocks, tons of pothole lakes and streams.

Best hike I've done in a very long time. Best to do this in the morning when it's cool out, and bring lots of water.

Awesome hike, it's not "easy" it has it's moments when it is "easy" but I won't call it "easy". It is a great place to see some of the arches that aren't seen by many. You have to want to get out and hike if you want to see these ones.

Great little "walk", tons of people. If you go off the the left about 300 yards before getting to the arches you can make your way behind to the backside of them. Less people = better photo ops.

Wow, it was awesome! I loved everything about this trail, the trees, rocks, snow cap mountains and the water fall. The hike is easy, but it has it's section where you are climbing but it's not a hard climb. For the most part you're in shade. There're sections where everything opens up and you get this great view of the valley and the snow cap mountains right about you. Best photo ops every! The water fall is great but can get a little busy, there is a little side trail from the lower falls to the upper section, this is great for photos and getting away from the crowd. I took my family (ages 5, 2 and 7 months) it took us just under 2 hrs to get to the falls, and getting back was a lot faster due to the down hill. This is a must do if!

This is not a simple day hike, in fact, there are signs that says "No day hikes allow". With that said, it is a 8 mile hike into the village, then another 2 - 3 miles into the campground. You are hiking down hill for the 1st 3 miles off the switch backs (very rocky, so make sure you watch your steps). Make sure you don't do this in direct sunlight, temperatures can reach up to 110 in the late spring and summer. After reaching the bottom of the switch backs you and rewarded with some flat soft ground to hike in for another 3 miles (you are hiking in a the wash of the canyon). You are now in the shade for most of this hike tell you reach the village. The village will open up into a valley and the ground is very sandy making it hard to hike in and when the mule train goes by it kicks up dust all over the place. Once you head out of the village you will make your way down hill into the campground, 2 -3 mile depending on where you would like to set up camp. My group set up just left of the water station (Fern spring - the only water in the whole camp so bring a 5 gal. jug to fill up if you aren't camping near it). The campground is about a miles long from one end to the other.

Our day hikes, we hiked down the river to Mooney falls, Beaver falls, and up the canyon to the rim looking down at all the falls and campground. Very nice swimming spots along the way, rope swings and tons of rocks to jump off. I had a very large group (63 of us - Hiking group out of Utah county). It was a blast and I'm looking forward to doing it again next year.

Such a fun place to explore, although I didn't do the full 32 miles my group did Crack canyon. Fun day hike with lots to see. Wild flower were starting to bloom and it made the sanding grounds colorful and full of life. Nice place for pictures. Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive car/truck it gets bumping.

Feels like you're in a whole new world, steep switch backs, red rocks, wall street without the store fronts and crazy New Yorkers, J/K. Really, wall street for the outdoors men. Bryce is awesome! One big giant maze with stunning views and deep narrows. Take the whole family and enjoy.

So I'm giving the "Y" 4 stars for one reason, it's not cause it's a fun hike with lots to see. It's cause it's a great hike to get into hiking shape! The steep hills make it a challenge, doing this hike 2 - 4 times a week will get you into shape in not time. It's not a long hike, but it's a workout! Enjoy the view and get your legs pumping!
