first two miles flat and good footing. next mile is lots of stepping stones and really muddy with gradual incline. next 1.7 miles are steeper with wet conditions.

beautiful hike with some nice stream Crossings. Would highly recommend. Trail is well maintained.

took down from North Carter. a narrow, wet, rocky, glorified bushwhack with no views or interesting parts.

nice moderate hike. Really cool going up to the hut and the falls. otherwise, with the exception of the cliff, it's just a nondescript hike up to the wooded summit. about six hours round-trip incl a few stops.

awesome hike. Yes. As others have mentioned start on the right and then come down on left side at the trailhead. there are some sleep sections, so if you are uneasy with
steep slides, you may need to reconsider this hike. coming down on the ridge was breathtaking. highly recommended hike. Just be aware that you will have to do a few steep scrambles.

great hike. rated hard due to distance but nothing technical about climb. gradual elevation gains and only one steep section right before summit.great views. just did Bondcliff and was out/back from visitor center in just under eight hours including a few stops and 20-30 minutes at top.

nice easy hike. great view. too bad some dipshit with a drone was there that day. kinda put a damper on the 'out with nature' vibe. lots of people. probably 2-3 hrs round trip at medium pace.

first things first. The 4000 Footers. Com website needs to update their notes to indicate the access road is not open. this will add a boring 4 mile dust walk to your hike.
Trail is easy to moderate but just watch for the turns as the trail is not marked. we took the wrong turn at the fork about a mile and a half in. just head down about another couple hundred yards and the turn is marked. Ridge and Summit views are probably some of the best in the Northeast so well worth the hike just probably would not do it again due to the access road closure.

great hike. easy steady climb with no real steep sections until a short burst at the very end. was windy and foggy at top on the day i went but worth the climb.

very primitive trail markings and no views. next time would do south side. lots of moss on rocks so don't bother in wet or fall/winter conditions.

a long hike no doubt. a lot of flat at beginning then a steady climb. incredible views so well worth it.

a tale of two trails. first 3-4 miles are easy and mostly flat. the last .7 is steep and loose rocks. nice lookout. way down from south is tricky due to loose gravel but just go slow. I think 5.5 hrs r/trip at a medium pace.

really nice. a few steep spots, but not bad. the summits aren't marked so just follow white blaze until cairn at south kinsman.

Would recommend. nice steady climb. a few tricky spots when wet, but we'll worth it.

notapretty site reviewed Gorge Brook Trail to Mount Moosilauke

Note: the end of the access road is blocked to hiker cars due to construction. it will add a half mile in each direction to the hike.
Easy to moderate going up. a few steep spots but no climbing. I'm an intermediate climber and it took a little less than 2 hrs to summit from lodge on Ravine Rd.
