    I highly suggest this hike!!

We started at the Dry Creek Trail Head which is free to park at. The TH has a helpful large map displaying 3 clear options as to how to get to Devils Bridge. We took the shortest (Option #1) and I ll provide a picture above in the photo section. This sign also suggest 1 Gallon of water per person... and then we would see people on the trail in jeans, a t-shirt and a little 12oz bottle of water. When it’s 90+ degrees, be smart and pack enough water accordingly.
Like the others suggested, hike early to beat the crowds and heat. The 1 mile hike down the dirt road is not bad (note: it’s all up hill the way back). Not sure why people complain about this section.... The intensity of the trail picks up as you get to Devils Bridge Trail (it’s 0.8 miles to the bridge from here) and especially once you get to the “rock steps”. But once you are there... then you know you’re close to the sandstone arch!
After the first set of these “rock steps” there is an amazing view point and spots to rest in the shade. The bridge is amazing and has shaded areas surrounding it to rest and hydrate. Even with a few other couples by the bridge it still felt chill and magical.

Fun beginner trail down low and has intermediate scrambles as you get higher (pioneering your own way). I highly recommend this trail if you’re limited on time or only in Sedona a couple days. Since it’s a short trek to the higher viewing areas we decided to hike at 5:00 p.m. so the sunlight would be igniting the surrounding landscape and Bell Rock. Whoa! It ended up being an absolutely beautiful and magical time! We spent about a 1.5 hours on the trail, taking pictures and soaking in the epic views. Leaving us time drive to Airport Mesa for a stunning sunset.
