Noli Gracilla reviewed Dinkey Lakes Trail

I really wanted to like this trail. 5 lakes in only 7 miles? What is there not to like? For starters, the road towards the trailhead. Rough road and at certain portions off road conditions. It is about 1.5 hours from Dinkey Creek Campground. Not recommended if you do not have a high clearance all wheel drive SUV. Secondly-- the actual trail. Poorly marked, not maintained at all and easy to lose the trail. You will experience a lot of bushwacking. Thanks to my downloaded map from Alltrails, we managed to find our destination, Island Lake. No switchback-- just straight up. The worse part? Mosquitoes. and lots of them. We had to cut our trip 1 day short because of it. But I have to say though it is really beautiful and if you want solitude, you will definitely have it here.

Trail poorly marked. Rocky but the views are exceptional. Wear a pair of good waterproof hiking boots.

Beautiful shaded hike until you start the descent. Steep slippery trail, unmarked and easy to lose your way. Beautiful views though.

An easy hike, and it is a VERY popular hike, lots of people on the trail. You can extend this hike to see Rainbow Falls, also a very popular destination.

Beautiful hike, a little demanding because of the elevation gain/loss. Good views of both Verna and Nevada Falls. Plenty of photo opportunity. Hike early in the morning (5 or 6 am) to avoid the crowd.

Hike is strenous for the first couple of miles due to elevation gain. Once you've reached Mammoth Crest, you will be rewarded with magnificent views of all the lakes in the area. You have the option of making this a VERY long hike, hooking up with the Duck pass trail.

First half is an easy, paved, undulating path but the second half is a killer-- steep incline that offers magnificent view of the San fernando Valley. Definitely will do tis hike again.

Nice quick hike, accessible trailhead with tons of parking. Well marked dual purpose trail. Last 1/2 mile makes this trail moderate since you will rock hop with several stream crossings. Plan to arrive early in the morning since this trail is VERY popular. One sad thing is the trash that others leave behind. I left the falls at around 8:30am and literally saw over 60 hikers on their way to the falls.

A short drive from almost everywhere in Los Angeles area, Wildwood Park has it all. From ample parking to numerous trails, it offers hikers different choices on how far your hike will be. Trails are well marked. You can even pick up a map of the trail at the trailhead. Paradise falls is also picturesque. Just beware of snakes and poison oak.

Noli Gracilla reviewed Duck Pass Trailhead to Arrowhead Lake

This is only a part of a much longer trail that originates from Coldwater Creek trailhead all the way down to Duck Lake. You get to see 5 different lakes along the trail. Beautiful scenery, not a whole lot of people on the trail.
