Nicole Leatherby reviewed Horseshoe Trail to Frazer Meadow

This trail I would call easy. Someone said it was shady which it was not. Probably depends on the time of day. Was very sunny and hot. Also the trail is not marked well. We missed the turn off and ended up doubling the distance of our hike.

This trail has it all! Amazing views, wildlife, wild flowers, wooded trails, wide open trails, a lake, climbing. Whatever you want! We did 12 miles and it was great!

This was a really pretty hike with some elevation but not a ton. I could see out pretty far from the Brother's Overlook as saw a red tail hawk flying closely over head. There were lots of wild flowers and I even saw 2 deer really close up.

I went early so there weren't many people. Lots of beautiful wild flowers everywhere and saw a few deer.

It would be nice to have some trail SIGNS. we hiked to several false summits...and another hiker even thought the mountain next to it was Sherman. We hiked for a grand total of about 11 miles from getting lost on trails. Other than that...nice hike and a good day. We finally submitted the real mount Sherman.

Beautiful! Not many people on a week day early in the morning. Did the whole north part of the park - 8 miles.

I only did Talon along with the north and south loop. Talon was mostly sunny but the loop was shady and nicer. I learned the difference between a lot of different trees thanks to the little signs posted in the trail. The many wild flowers were beautiful. Somebody ruined two of the trail maps along Talon Trail. There was hardly anyone on the trail. I had it all to myself!

This was such a great hike! It felt like a nice stroll through the "creek bottom" part of the trail. The "falls" were a little disappointing since they were small and a long way off but then we hit the "rim rock" trail all that was forgotten. It was a bit of an incline with stair steppers up but it's not for very long. Saw one small snake on that part. But once we got to the top, it was beautiful views all the way! I couldn't get enough of going to the edge to look out. Breathtaking!

The first mile was a doozey! It was steep with cliffs that made my stomach a little oozey. But after that it was a more steady incline - not so steep. It was a nice walk in the woods. The lake was small. It only took us a few minutes to walk around it but there was not really anyplace to get close to it and rest. The road to get to the trail head was more of a four wheel drive road although we made it up there in a sedan.

Was a nice easy hike after doing two it three other hikes in the park. Great views of rock formations! Lots of people, kid friendly and handicap accessible. I suggest going down on the west side and coming back on the easy side so you can enjoy the views of the red rocks.

Was an easy, short bike ride. We saw TONS of mountain goats. They were so cool and even hit their horns together for us. Was a wonderful experience!
