    Best in the winter when the Bald Eagles are here and the snakes aren't. Dogs are not allowed on state park trails although I've seen a few.

    This is an out and back hike rather than a loop as described here. This trail is correctly described in a separate listing on this site.... http://alltrails.com/trail/us/california/yosemite-falls-trail. However, it is a great strenuous hike. The trail is very rocky and some of the rocks are a little polished from many hikers. You have to be careful where you put your feet, particularly when going downhill. Two big ravens kept me company at the top of the falls.
