Nathaniel Carter reviewed Mount Sanitas and Sanitas Valley Loop Trail

The definitive Boulder workout. One of the first to try if you are only here for a short while!

Nathaniel Carter reviewed Three Peaks Loop Trail

Did this once - exhausted. Trying for the 5 peaks of Boulder's skyline next year!

Hiked here and had to dodge a red 4runner climbing the rocks. Insane what people do with vehicles here!

Nathaniel Carter reviewed The Loneliest Road (US Highway 50)

Driven this road once, and especially through the part in Nevada marveled at how many valleys and passes you go through and up and over, so many without a single sign of human civilization. Austin, Nevada is particularly interesting.

Beautiful glassy lake. Quite a few people there on a Sunday afternoon, including families participating in a professional photo shoot.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed The Incline Trail and the Barr Trail

Up the incline and then a good run bombing down Barr is the ultimate Colorado workout.

Stairmaster hike. Like a miniature version of Colorado's Manitou Incline, only with humidity.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed Pulpit Rock Peak Loop

This looks easy to get to from the parking lot, but the trail isn't clear, as a lot of use trails spin off and head to the peak. I think we took one of the more difficult ones, and it was a bit of a bushwhack to get up there. Lots of kids up there though, so definitely not ridiculously hard. Did it on a whim after seeing the rock from the Trader Joe's parking lot on our way through town. Sunset was nice from the top.

This is Colorado trail running at its finest for me, in the mountains but not steep, a place where 4 miles feels like you barely started.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed Aspen Alley Trail Loop

There's aspen here, so of course early fall is the time to go!

Went on Memorial Day and it was a great place to hang out for the day. Seeing the dam flow on the east side of trail is cool.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed South Platte River Greenway Trail

A lot people both running and biking, largely millennials/30-somethings, and has the feel of a big city trail that is used primarily for after work runs and bicycle commutes. Can be sketchy in parts if you linger. Pretty sure we saw a guy doing drugs behind a tree.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed Clear Creek Trail

When I first moved to Colorado 4 years ago, I rode from Westminster to Golden in the first week. I remember entering this trail and cruising toward the mountain on it, in and out of the trees, and just being in awe of this state's natural beauty, even in the city areas.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed Mount Galbraith Loop via Cedar Gulch Trail

It was a fun loop. Nothing extremely notable though. Like other reviews have said, I think it was worth doing this once, yet I'm not rushing to want to go back.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed Lichen Peak Trail

Steep incline. Great landscape up top, kind of otherworldly. Saw trail runners doing repeats on the incline, but I'd say once is enough for most people.

Walking path. Sometimes stop when driving back to Boulder. You can see fish jump out of the lake and sometimes birds are prevalent. Calm and peaceful. The loop goes by fast even at a leisurely pace.

Fun to cruise through on a mountain bike. Perfectly smooth trail most of the time.

Nathaniel Carter reviewed South Boulder Creek: Lower Big Bluestem Trail to Mesa Trail

Good trail running. You can feel like you are in the hills with close mountain views, yet not feel the pull of elevation gain on your run/hike.
