My trail started by BYU and it was a short paved trail. Everything was flat except when you go under the road and follow the water to stay away from crossing the streets. I'll have to do it again and find this waterfall! The river was there, so it was still pretty. There are park benches available

This was a nice short hike to a decent view. There are a lot of people on this trail so if you're looking for a quiet nature walk, select a different hike. This is the third lake at the Brighton ski resort. I was told that if you go up higher, you get a view of all three lakes : Mary, Martha and Catherine. We didn't make it up there fearing it would rain.

I did this hike back in March for my birthday. Weather of course was great. The whole trail is paved with lots of places to sit. There are also rails for those who may need help walking back up. Not very steep but very accessible. Easy hike to see waterfalls

This trail is very easy and great for pictures! My sister actually walked to the head of the waterfall. I was a little too chicken so I stayed back and took pictures instead recommended for anyone who loves chasing waterfalls!

This was a great hike. Although it was only 1 mile to Lake Mary, it was pretty steep. The whole trail is mainly uphill so be prepared. If you continue on the trail, you will run into Lake Martha and the last Lake Catherine. My favorite is Lake Mary. You can get great pictures at this lake. There are Mosquitos on this trail so bring repellant. Dogs aren't allowed because it is a watershed. Totally worth the mosquito bites and uphill battle :) Do It!

Nice and pretty easy hike. I took my dog bob and he so enjoyed the great outdoors. Dogs are supposed to be on leashes but no one actually uses them. Once you park at the end of Rose Canyon road, you will hike for about 30 minutes before the trail actually starts. The first part of the trail doesn't have much shade or trees, but there are lots of bikers and horse riders that are sharing the trail with you. I seemed to be the only one hiking. Once you hit the trailhead, there's lots of shade. Most of the terrain is pretty flat except towards the top of the mountain is when it obviously becomes steeper and Rocky. At the top, you get s nice lush green overview of herriman and I'm assuming salt lake. We also saw wild turkeys roaming on top of the hill, lizards of course rattling the bushes, and cows drinking the creek water. I got a little freaked out and never seen a cow that just stared at me and my pup, Bob so I power walked faster after saying hello to Betsy and her boo. Nice 6 mile hike round trip.

It was a nice hike however I did not find the living room structure. I hiked for about 2 hours and must've went the wrong way. I parked at red buttes garden and walked to the trailhead. The wrong way was a very steep uphill hike. I'm also recovering from a broken ankle I broke last October so it might not be as hard for others as it was for me. Great hike being on the wrong path. Downside is no shade so make sure to bring plenty of water and sunblock.

This is a pretty strenuous hike. Took us 2.5 hours going up to the lake. Be prepared, this is an uphill battle. My friend went a couple of weeks ago and said that the hold is beautiful. When I came, yesterday, trees were dead, the lake looked evaporated into a large puddle and there was ice/snow on the trail. I ended twisting my ankle at near the lake. I stepped on icy dirt and never experienced so much pain in my life! Granted I wasn't wearing hiking shoes and low top nikes so that didn't help. Being a native from CA, I refused to call search and rescue as they would charge an arm and both legs just for the services. Everyone in the hike were so nice and helpful. A nice young lady with red hair names Megan gave me her tank top to wrap around my ankle, a different man found me a walking stick, a family man broke down a tree and made me a "crutch," others offered their shoulder and arms to help down the mountain, and many offered medication such as ibuprofen, Advil, food and water. Someone did end up calling search and rescue which I found out later was free of charge. My friend and I hiked down 3.0 miles down when they came to get me. I am so grateful of such friendly people of Utah. I will do this hike again in the summer with hiking boots.
