This is a great walking path, especially for viewing some wildlife. We saw lots of butterflies, birds, and deer and I could imagine it draws in bears from time to time! Great path for those with disabilities or small children. Wheelchairs and strollers would work on here since it’s paved. I would not classify it as a hike, and I think some of the negative reviews are from people who want it to be more difficult than it was. People should appreciate the path for what it is, and it is a great walking path through a beautiful meadow.

This was a pretty good little hike. All uphill on the way in and lots of rocks and roots so keep an eye out! The views were amazing and worth the effort! My hiking partner had a little trouble keeping up on the way up but he’s from the city lol. Not a technical hike at all, heavily trafficked, lots of shade.

This was a great trail with two amazing overlooks. The first is within the first .10 mile and it’s stunning. The second is at the end and is even more beautiful than the first. It’s about 2.3 miles out back and the trail is very well maintained, mostly level, and even paved in some parts. Not ideal for a stroller but definitely doable by children as young as 4-5. It’s very well shaded as most of it’s in the forest. The true trailhead is near the exit end of the parking area at the Cloudland Hotel parking area. There are other areas you can hop on the trail from that’ll get you closer to that second vista but I very much recommend starting from the beginning. Well worth it to see both views!!

This was a decent trail with a gorgeous stone staircase but it’s covered in poison ivy so beware, especially if you have little ones. Waterfall was nice but underwhelming.

I loved this trail. We took it further than intended because the view wasn’t marked really well and you’re in a forest most of the time. The boulders and trees with amazing root systems are prehistoric. I want to go back and take this train all the way to rough ridge and back. It’s a lot of climbing over rocks and up and down, so don’t expect to blaze a fast trail. I took my 7 and 9 year old kids and they did well. Each had a fall but they made it! We did a total of about 3 miles out and back. The views under the viaduct are amazing. I can’t believe the people complaining about lack of views when you’re getting to see the parkway from every angle imaginable. It’s just amazing.

This is my favorite shorter hike. The views are amazing and you can really pick your level of effort by choosing to stop at the boardwalks or one of the next great rock formations higher up. It is pretty steep and I would not attempt this hike in the rain. But when weather is good, there is no better bang for your hiking buck.
