One of the more challenging hikes I’ve been on, it’s almost all uphill and pretty steep at parts. Got rained on a couple times on the ridge so I would recommend checking to weather and bringing a light jacket for cover as it did get a little chilly in the rain with all the wind. Hiking up through the clouds was quite the experience, albeit exhausting. A good amount of rope sections here, and I would advise wearing gloves if you have them as some of the ropes are pretty rough on non callused hands. The actual peak itself is not in an open area, so the views from there are difficult to find, but the false summit just below has very rewarding views when the clouds finally parted. Only giving it 4 stars for the large sections that are badly eroded and a little more difficult to maneuver (more ropes in these areas could help).

I really enjoyed this hike, it was a pleasant surprise since I had done Kuliouou lately and did not like that hike nearly as much. This was shorter and did not have those dreadful switchbacks. We went on a cloudy and fairly dry day which was perfect as the trail wasn't a slop of mud like I'm sure it is after any rain (the stairs have a bit of erosion already which I am sure becomes much more dangerous when wet) and it wasn't scorching hot. The views were really nice all the way up after getting out of the forested road area. I would love to do this trail again and take one of the side "trails" along the ridge line from the summit to the left or right to make it more difficult.

This is a decent hike, it's a pretty moderate distance between a short and fast easy hike and longer more difficult trails. About 5 miles, a large amount of the trek is through forest and up switchbacks which are fairly tedious. Eventually you will reach a taller thick forest where you will need to look out for the trail marker ribbons to avoid meandering off track. There's a nice picnic table area for a rest stop and having a snack. The upper, steep, stairs area is the more difficult section of this trail and can be more grueling in the rain or after a heavy rain as it gets a bit muddy. The top provides a nice panoramic view. Overall it's definitely not my favorite (or even top 10) on the island and I don't see myself doing it again unless I connect across to other trails from the summit.

Nice and easy small trail. The bamboo forest is beautiful and calm. There's a couple little trails that branch off from the main one, but I'm not sure where they go. The trail leads to a service road with some radio towers. We were told on our hike by another group that there are now cameras on the towers, as well as a padlocked sheet of metal to prevent people from climbing up (as well as no trespassing signs) so I would avoid them altogether. The view from the top is pretty, although a lot of the invasive bamboo is blocking potential view. A group was there to remove some of it, so hopefully in time the view will be reclaimed!

After veering off the Manoa Falls trail, we trekked through some thick vegetation. After that you are in the woods following the occasional pink ribbon and being weary of the thick mud. Eventually you will come to a confusing area where multiple pink ribbons can be seen going off in different directions, to get to the falls you will want to follow the ribbons on your left, and hike alongside the stream. Going right will take you up onto a ridge that separates this waterfall from Manoa Falls, and it appears to be a fairly long trail. Could not find any information about it but we got a good ways up before turning around to find the falls, and the pink ribbons are fairly new and it appears well traveled/cleared. Back to the falls hike though. Cross the stream a handful of times and keep an eye out for the pink ribbons for your guide. Some of the trail is fairly overgrown, slick rocks, mud, and rotten branches so be careful. The AllTrails map of this location is very helpful and will help you stay on track through your hike. The lower falls were nice, had a decent flow but a very large tree has fallen blocking a large view of them. The upper falls were pretty dry today, but have the same structure as Manoa Falls. This would not be a good hike to do in the rain with thick mud and risk of the stream picking up and causing injury so be aware of the weather before attempting. Overall I don't think I would hike it again, but if you are into jungle hikes and determined to check this waterfall off your list, then it's definitely not impossible.

This is a stunning little gem tucked away in Tullahoma. Hiked it during a brief rain storm so the falls were flowing beautifully. Quite large in size, the trek back there can be a little buggy but it is worth the drive and would definitely recommend.

Stunning views of the rolling hills of the area, beautiful lush green in late spring. Pretty easy trail, suitable for all ages. Just be aware with small children near the cliffs as it is all natural beauty so no guardrails or such.

Lovely trail with a few small waterfalls. Lush greenery and cute bridges. The color of the water at the falls is a beautiful shade of blue.

Beautiful waterfall with lovely wooded trail, lots of neat rock walls and places to climb up. The falls themselves are particularly enticing after recent rainfall so try to plan your trip accordingly. Afraid of bridges? Be aware of the cable bridge carefully needed to cross the river.

Easy loop hike for all ages, crosses a couple bridges, lots of neat flora and trees here as well. Walking between the two lakes is a very windy but peaceful experience.

Moderate hike to the falls, try to wear appropriate shoes for both hiking and wading through the river/ rock hopping. The falls itself is gorgeous and grand, however it does tend to get very busy very quickly here.
