Easy flat loop. Took us just over an hour. Watch out for ticks! My wife just found one on her leg!

Drove this in a base model Discovery Sport with factory all season tires and did not need to take it out of highway mode. Saw no other cars. Maybe due to the 100 degree temperatures. Made sure to get the 2 page print out from the visitors centre. The marker posts are often difficult to spot.

We started at Crescent Meadow and followed signs to Sherman Tree 2.5 miles. Beautiful trail through giant trees and past meadows. Lightly trafficked today Sunday 10 June. The signs fail to mention Sherman Tree after about half a mile. So make sure to buy a trail map.

Beautiful trail, moderately trafficked. Interesting old cabin made from a hollowed out log.

From here we followed signs to Sherman Tree 2.5 miles away. Beware: the signs fail to mention Sherman Tree after half a mile. So if you have no trails map, follow signs to Washington Tree then carry on past it till you meet Alta trail T-junction where you turn right.

Superb fun hike. We drove from Bryce Canyon in a 2WD stationwagon loaded with people and luggage. It had rained a little in the morning which had settled the dust some more after the thunderstorms of the previous afternoons. We arrived around 10am to the car park at the trailhead. The road was passable if a little daunting with some deep sand/ dust and a few washes and some steep inclines and annoying corrugations which slowed us down to 15 mph in parts. (After the hike we continued down Skutumpah road which improved after a few miles as we were headed to Page AZ.)

We started in regular trail shoes and brought water shoes in a backpack as we had read that the trail might be passable without getting feet wet. However, it soon became clear we had to swap to our water shoes as the delightfully brown water was around 6 inches deep between the narrows. We should have started with the water shoes and not muddied our trail shoes!

On the walk down to Sheep Creek we had the place to ourselves and only started to meet others as we were nearing the car park on the return.

There were 2 small waterfalls we needed to detour round.

The water and air temperatures were perfect and the whole trail delightful. One of the best and very much worth the drive.

We parked in the upper lot by the concert venue, descended the stairs on the right hand side (south) and hiked the trail counter-clockwise ending up at the museum and then back up the stairs.

A concert was due to start in a few hours and they had already closed the venue to non-ticket holders. Fortunately, they let us back in to reach the car in the upper lot.

Did not enjoy this hike much due to the biting flies and the snake in the grass. Saw several big fish in the shallow stream that feeds the lake but no otters.

Excellent trail, took us 2 and a quarter hours with lots of stops for photos. Amazingly lightly trafficked for Bryce in the summer season - we saw only one other person!

Quite a work-out on the way back but totally worth it. Hat Shop itself was great to see close up.

Look out for the pine tree, right by the trail, recently struck by lightning, blasting large chunks of trunk off the tree

Excellent trail with a variety of scenery; meadow, forest and lake shore.

Saw several bison and a marmot.

This trial was moderate (easier than hard) and moderately trafficked (rather than lightly trafficked). The trail passed through grassland, forest and scree. About halfway up is a large rock, shaded by a lone tree, that makes a perfect lunch stop. At the summit, there is a unmanned ranger post, weather station, comms tower.

Excellent trail due to views, variety of vegetation and steadiness of incline.

This is a pleasant hike to Cascade falls. The first mile or so is a little dull. The trail is in great condition despite all the rain that has fallen over the last days. We started at 7:30 and saw about 10 mule deer close to the trail and 4 moose. At the end you don't get a great view of the falls themselves.
I prefer the Green Ridge Trail aka East Inlet Trail past Adams Falls.

Hiked two thirds of this trail, till past the second meadow. We started early at 7:15am which meant we saw no one else for 2 hours. Very beautiful in the early morning. Saw a moose cow with 2 calves at the first meadow. Excellent trail. There was a group of fallen trees across the path which were easy to bypass. There were only very few mosquitoes.

One of the most spectacular trails I've ever done. Fantastic views at the top along delightful ridge trail and also very interesting under foot as you cross a bentonite clay section with active erosion. The ranger said this was the best trail in all of the Badlands. Lightly trafficked as we saw no-one else (likely due to the extreme heat).
