A fantastic hike that I did today with a group of friends. I'm not in the best shape by any means, but I was able to do it. It can be very steep at times and does involve some scaling, but a great family friendly hike. We had the perfect weather and the trail was really well marked. Parking is $5 per person so bring money.

Family friendly relatively easy hike to the falls. I did this with nine people and it took about three hours including the time we spent at the falls. Gorgeous views from the top of the waterfall. We tried doing the loop portion to also check out piper falls but the path barely looked like a path so we had to head back the way we came in. I'd definitely recommend this hike to anyone of any skill level.

Fantastic and challenging hike for the less experienced. There is a lot of walking up rock slabs, which at times was very steep. There were people with dogs as well as young children that were able to complete it. I think it can be a little challenging for kids, but often times they did better than me. Definitely not a winter or bad weather hike, as the slabs when wet would be far too dangerous. A very popular hike as there were a lot of people going up with us. Fewer were with us on the way down but I believe that is due to the staggered departure times from the summit. The views throughout the hike were incredible and well worth the effort we put in. The trail is very well marked. Overall, definitely a hike I would do again.

The hike from the parking lot to Arethusa Falls isn't too difficult and you will find many families and dogs along the route. The falls at the end are quite the payoff for this relatively short hike. From there, you must decide whether to head back the way you came, or head over to the Frankenstein Cliffs trail. My group did the cliffs trail are are very happy we did. It is significantly harder than the falls trail, but the views from the outlook are well worth it. The climb down though is very perilous and often times extremely challenging. I would not under any circumstances recommend starting with the Frankenstein trail as the climb is very steep. Going down it alone was difficult and I can't imagine what it would have been like going up it.

All in all, a fantastic hike that took us roughly 4 hours, taking our time and breaking for lunch at the falls. I definitely would recommend it.
