Family friendly and enjoyable. If you can make it to the Narrows, you are rewarded with a stunning view of the gorge. Rent the pole, shoes, and rod from the local outfitter in Springdale. The shoes assure that you have a good grip on the slippery rocks. The socks keep the feet warm. The pole helps keep you steady and to check for water depth. The package rental is about $22. Use zip lock bags for essentials and avoid fees for a watertight bag.

This does not match Angels Landing Trail for exhilaration, but makes up for this with a very scenic and enjoyable view at the top. There are sufficient bushes/trees near the top in case you have to pee.

This is an exhilarating, exhausting, and terrifying trail. I loved it. If you are in reasonable shape and not afraid of heights, this is a must when in Zion.

This trail is well kept, mostly with a river view, and used for hiking, fishing, biking, and painting. I enjoyed the fact that you do not see any buildings, even though you are in the middle of Mississauga. The only structure was a very high overhead highway bridge. Trail starts from Erindale Park: which is popular for picnics.

This strenuous hike rewards you with a fantastic view of two canyons. You need to have strong knees, somewhat reasonable upper body strength to be able to pull yourself up by holding a chain, and a reasonable bladder (as secluded places are very few). Wear hiking boots for good traction . On a hot day have 2 liters of water. Hiking poles are not of much use: 2/3 of the trail is well groomed and paved, and final 1/3 needs ability to hold on to the chain or rocks .

I hiked this on June 9 , 2017. It would be 5 stars if there had been no late spring snow half way up. It made it very slick on the way down. The view of Emerald Lake is fantastic. This hike is less strenuous than that to the Loch lake. I personally liked this hike for the beauty enroute: gushing water streams, Dream Lake, vistas. The path has few rocks so less chance to stumble. It is much less demanding than the Loch Lake hike, and gives majestic views. It is not Easy and is more in the mid-point between moderate and easy. Very popular hike.

Concrete trail. One hour loop. Markers at every tenth mile. Good lake view for most of trail. Covered areas for a picnic. Number of fishing piers. Mostly flat.

The loop that goes along the river from Burchfield Park to McNamara entrance is pretty. Return via the same route, as the other way back is just ok. The trailheads are not well marked and so this app came in handy. At this time of year, the mosquitoes are common and so bug spray is needed. There is a park entrance fee of $3 at the main entrance but not at the other trailheads. Mostly flat terrain.
