    Mike Finley reviewed Revett Lake

10/27 - no snow on the trail or surrounding peaks. Well maintained and no obstructions on main route. Circumnavigation of the lake is possible but not well marked; steep, muddy and poor footing in places. The drive out through Murray and along the river was beautiful. Plan enough time for breakfast at Snake Pit or lunch and beers in Wallace.

Slightly aggressive if you go off the main to save some time. Lower lake is clear and cold with nice views.

Great hike! Go early - its easily an hour and a half drive from CdA. My GPS ran out of road before I hit the trailhead. Just follow the #65 markers and keep going. The FS road is rutted, washboard and there is a dry creek just before the "parking lot" that's decently rocky. No less than a light SUV with adequate clearance to traverse.

Tall brush and narrow trail in the lower elevations, opens up the higher you go. Gets a little technical past the tree/scree line. Keep going until you run out of trail. Top marked with a makeshift rock shelter. If you don't see a goat, just wait 5 minutes. They seem to pop out of nowhere.

I hiked this solo - not advised. Beautiful day but probably 8 people all told on the trail. Other hikers reported black bear in lower altitudes, but I can't confirm. Fitbit clocked total distance at 7.75mi. No creeks or lakes so bring plenty of water. There are portable toilets at the trailhead.

    Beautiful views. A must do.

Can't beat the location for an aggressive hike and views of the prairie, lake and DT CdA. Street parking and trailhead access at E Shadduck Ln and Mtn Vista Drive. Starts and stays steep heading up the west face ridgeline. A little over 2mi to the radio towers at the top. Shared access with ORV, mtn bikes, horses etc.

Quite literally a walk in the park. Good for trail running in the early morning. Moderately should be upgraded to HEAVILY trafficked; be prepared to share the trail and leave your fear of dogs at home. The "jumping rocks" attract belligerent drunks when the sun is out. Not a bad spot but YMMV.

FS332 is a bit dicey in blind turns at times especially with on coming traffic. We drove out around 9:30a and passed no less than six cars/quads. If you are a conditioned hiker this is a manageable hike. Excellent views and photo ops at the top. No accessible streams or lakes so bring plenty of water. Nicely maintained and well marked trail.

Decent hike about 20min outside of CdA. Had a little trouble finding the trailhead and didn't realize there were two parking lots. We started from the one off Zephyr. Had a slight issue (first time) determining routes around bridges and the cabin, but found that all trails eventually converge into the same loop. Enough of an incline to get the heart going but nothing too strenuous for weekend warriors and hobby hikers.

Nice quick hike close to town (CdA). Small parking lot but spots available around 10am (4/30/17). Lightly trafficked, well groomed, well marked trail. Nice views of Beauty Bay, Canfield and Wolf Lodge.
