take the fork off to the right about 1/4 mile from the trail head down by the river. Way better veiws and hike than the regular trail and gets you to the falls quicker.

Beautiful easy trail and completely flat for the most part. 3/4/17 we were just out for a drive on 49 and seen the sign. I'm so glad we stopped. Sun was shining and it even hailed a little. The best part of the hike was that the entire trail is wheelchair accessible! But more of a leisurely stroll than a challenging hike. East independence trail was closed due to unsafe condition. We took west and there was a sign saying unsafe structure. A few cones and broken broads from recent weather damage. Creeped me out a lil but safe none the less.

1st weekend of November, 67°, the falls were flowing beautifully. Pretty rough road the last 3mi. Nice, short, and easy hike. At the end of the trail when you get close to the falls theres a fork. To the left is the bottom of Codfish falls and to the right is a steep trail that leads you to the top of the falls. Totally worth being able to chill and put your feet in the top of a waterfall with some beautiful veiws! Take both and venture down below the falls there's some pretty cool areas to explore.

Super short and easy hike. 10/30/16 not a soul in sight, pouring down rain, hail, and at moments even a couple of snow flakes. The falls were breathtaking and in full force. It made the harsh weather conditions worth it. Can't wait to see what it's like in spring.

Long one lane drive to the trail head, but worth it. Hike down to the creek and Otter Creek itself was beautiful. Pretty steep at times. It's the hike back out that's a pain in the butt, literally. All uphill at a steep incline. Definitely a challenge and slow going but doable even for the inexperienced hiker like me. Overall good hike and we didn't see a single soul!
