Lovely walk starting in the pretty village of Shere. No problem parking in the free car park mid morning on a Bank Holiday. Gorgeous peaceful woodland walks passing through the village of Peaslake with the Hurtwood Inn and village stores for refreshments. A few climbs but scenic views of the North Downs. Stopped in The White Horse, Shere at the end for a drink. Dogs welcome in the bar - manageress even came around handing out dog treats for all the canine visitors. Highly recommend this walk.

Nice to do a more suburban walk. Canal then MOD forestry where we spotted a deer. Some road work but varied terrain. Gorgeous church yard. The walk alongside the A331 means you can hear the road to a degree but the ponds and nature reserve there are lovely. Lots of wildlife - we saw a white heron in the trees. Nice to see old gravel pits being returned to a natural habitat. We stopped for a drink at the end at The Rose and Thistle pub. Very welcoming and dog friendly.

Completed this walk on a lovely sunny Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful rolling countryside but lots of shady paths to shelter from the sun if necessary. Free car park which was half empty on a busy Easter weekend. Varying scenery - rivers, locks, weirs, stately home - loved it. Directions very good - great to have the map to double check. Stopped at The Seahorse in Shalford for a drink in their lovely garden. Dogs welcome in the garden and inside the pub.

Lovely sunny walk - started at The Jolly Farmer pub as car park free (Whitmoor Car Park at the start now charges). Gorgeous paths through woodland and heathland mostly dry now. A little hard to find the correct path when crossing roads as some paths seemed little used and overgrown. GPS map great though and got us in the right direction. Pub fantastic - lovely garden and dogs very welcome.

A fabulous but challenging walk through the North Devon countryside. Stunning river walk then a very steep climb out of the gorge but so worth it for the views.

Loved this walk with my husband and dog. Fantastic directions -you couldnt go wrong. Lovely countryside and views. Pubs along the way for refreshments - we stopped at The Abinger Hatch which was very welcoming and very dog friendly. Took about 2.5hrs to complete the walk.

Just completed this walk on a breezy Saturday in April. Great to have free parking at the train station (weekends). Directions great - backed up again by the useful map. Woodland walk beautiful - hardly saw another person the whole way round. Paths very dry this time of year although obviously muddy in the winter. Some ascents but great views to London at one point. Stopped at The Barley Mow for refreshments - lovely traditional pub. So welcoming and very dog friendly inside and out. Took us about 2.5 hours excluding stops.
