Loved this hike! It was super hot for mid June but rewarding. We started on the blue trail for Arethusa Falls then continued on the yellow trail for Frankenstein Cliff. The waterfall is heavily trafficked, so I would suggest getting there early and stopping there first, which is what we did. Great views on the cliff. Beautiful hike and for what if offers, its not all that long for experienced hikers nor is it too challenging.

First, the elevation listed is wrong. Tecumseh is NH's smallest 4000 footer. It's a beautiful, very peaceful hike for the first 30 minutes, before turning into a very steep and rocky hike. Its a challenge all the way up to the junction for the summit but a very rewarding hike with a lovely, secluded view. Late May provided lovely green colors. We did not experience excessive traffic.

$5 per person charge. Definitely a hike that requires proper footwear. Extremely jagged and rocky. Do not go in the rain! It was meant to be sunny the day I went but started to rain after we got to the summit, it was very difficult getting down. Great workout but will not be doing this one again.

Short and steep, but the view is great and the top is very unique. Great spot for sunset.

I absolutely loathed this one. Its the only "hike" I've ever actually disliked and was my first in southern California. The walk from the parking lot to the reserve is a very nice and shaded stroll...but it opens to very exposed reserve (which is to be expected of so. Cal's landscape). Its very dusty and gets steep very quickly at times. Its a rather short hike and the end is very steep pavement that ends at the fenced off reservoir. The views aren't worth the strain, you're better off going to the park a little ways down the road where there are multiple trails between Mt. Woodson and Lake Romona...also, there are no hot springs.

I enjoyed this hike, as most NH hikes go it was very shaded, which makes hard hikes a little better. That being said, this is a difficult hike. It gets very steep but does let up from time to time. Some parts are rocky slopes. The summit is very large and mostly flat, but exposed and windy. The view is very nice as well.

I LOVE this trail! Its very short, maybe 20-30 minutes and in the middle of nowhere (very long drive from the seacoast) but WOW the view is spectacular! I love hiking and this is by far the shortest, easiest hike I've ever completed but no other mountain beats this view.

Michele Adams reviewed Potato Chip Rock via Mt. Woodson Trail

I loved this hike but it is very steep the majority of the way and because southern California is mostly desert, this hike is exposed to the sun the entire way. Potato chip rock is cool but I unfortunately could only view it from afar, as there were a ridiculous amount of people literally lined along the summit to get a picture on it. I intend to do this hike again, but not midday on a weekend.

The waterfall was cute. I went all the way to the summit, and it's immediately after this trail (which connects to the summit) where the hike becomes rather strenuous.
