Good challenging trail... about 14 down trees you will need to get over, around or under. Did a day hike started at 9am got to the old fire tower, ate lunch at the numerous camp sites and when back down to parking. Total time was 7.5 hrs. 1st half was all up, 2nd half all down. Hard on the knees but good training if you plan on doing long hikes such as AT. Not much to see on the way up since it felt like a green tunnel. On the top you only really have a view on top of the fire tower since the top is pretty woody. Good Water source is found around half mile or less from the top incase you run out like I did. There was a construction crew next to the tower when i was there. Working on solar panels so it wasn't quiet, as they had their country music going. Overall good challenging trail. Did not see a soul on the trail the whole time until the top.

You get there via the Pulliam Trail. You know your there when you hear the loud rushing of water. It is unmarked but easy to find... then head down, really straight down. Not recommended for young kids as it can be dangerous for them and elderly. Great views at the bottom and what looks like a deep swimming hole. Then you have to get back up. I had to forget about using trekking poles and use the ropes provided... more of a scramble. Fun and challenging.

Nice trail... some small creeks to pass, water was a little high got one foot wet but that why you wear trail running shoes, they dry super fast. Be careful on some steep narrow trails, had to hold on to my 4yr old son... nice falls at the end. Good family hike.

Great trail and moderate hike. The end of the trail is a little underwhelming. The green river is nice but I would recommend going down the green river the steeper way. The ones you see in the pictures with ropes to help out. This was strenuous and sketchy but it adds some much needed adventure.

Nice even walk to the cove , very family friendly. There is a trail going to the top of the falls but would not recommend it, you have to scramble up.

Beautiful fall and easy short trail. Definitely recommend. Just be careful with little one on the top of the falls.

Great trail if you include the John Rock loop. Moderate to easy 3 hours for loop if you relax and hang out on John Rock. Better view than Looking Glass Rock.

Best 3 day 2 night backpacking trail in Pisgah. Great scenic views as you climb. Must do if you like to backpack and hike more than just a few miles!

Hard trail... Very strenuous the first part... Good training for a longer hike (AT). Started at 10am and ended at 4pm , not a lot of breaks... The top of the mountain is overgrown in some sections and a little confusing. Good adventure but not recommend for the casual hiker.
