It wasn't a "lightly trafficked" trail as mentioned above. The falls were cool from afar, but up close dirty from party after party. Easy trail.

We followed the red trail as a loop and it took around 7 miles. Really intense, really beautiful, and witnessed an act of love making along the way. I would suggest wearing proper foot wear, trail is muddy and slippery in spots. Who would have thought that power lines were so cool! In my opinion that was the highlight of our hike. Oh, and it should be mentioned that the red trail gets a bit confusing, the best way to find your way through is with this app.

Our family visits Five Rivers periodically throughout the year. Great trails for the whole family, and lots of spaces for impromptu picnics. Only downfall is that they have construction going on now, but, the good side is it looks like they are expanding the environmental center and parking lot for future visitors!

Nice hike. It is a longer loop than 2.7 miles, we did almost 5 following outer trails. The kill is really nice, we put our feet in and had a picnic next to the moving water on the grey wacky beach. We went on a Saturday and it had moderate traffic. Also, a fairly easy hike (in most spots) for kids, and lots of toads and garden snakes to keep them interested.

The APB is interesting for those seeking something different than the usual wooded terrain, and who have kids as well as want to enjoy an easy loop. It is unfortunate that it is so close to the highway, but it can't be helped. I like it, but not one of my faves.

I enjoyed this trail more than Butler. The description of 50 foot incline is a mistake. As a matter of fact the trail has 500 feet inclines and has some of the most beautiful scenery around. We saw lots of nature, including two grey heron, toads, a leaf frog, garden snakes, chipmunks and the like. There were old stone walls and grasslands in the middle of the woods that harken back to what once was. I would highly recommend this for a good workout and is nearly a 6 mile hike when you follow the outer trails. Loved this one!!!

Trail is very well maintained and marked. Definitely some challenging inclines, lots of toads on the trail and a good workout. We enjoyed our hike and will go again!

Mel C reviewed Tawasentha Park (park loop)

This is a great park for kids. The playground is unique with a water station and a huge climbing frame. Our family also walked the 1.5 mile red trail. It hugged the park and when away from the road and tennis courts we found the short time we were in the woods to be beautiful. If you have children this is the best park (in my opinion) in the Albany region, and thanks to this app we will continue to go.

I love the Orange trail, and if you are able to find it, it leads to a beautiful field. I know the waterfall is the main attraction here, but if you are searching for some solitude the field is where it's at.
