This hike up to Kaiser Peak was beautiful and quiet which was really nice because you really get to be with nature. We also seen a deer and her two fawns from a far. The hike itself was moderate, except that it was lengthy. The trees offered a lot of shade and there was breeze. Once you get towards the top be careful because there are a lot of gravel and loose rocks. The view was amazing and you could still see snow at the bottom. I definitely will be returning back when there is more snow. The only downfall about this hike is the limited parking, so arrive early.

    Happy hiking! :)

The first time around I had only made it to the bottom of Nevada Falls, which was still beautiful. So I decided to come back again and go to the top of the Falls. I started from the Mist Trail and passed Vernal Falls which can be quite tiring in itself. The ascend up to Nevada was very rocky and straining on the quads because there are a lot of rock step ups you have to do. There was definitely less people going up but do expect some traffic still. Once you reach the top, it is magnificent! Raging water from the Merced river is flowing down the side of the cliff and you can just hear and see how powerful nature is! Going down was much easier when you take the John Muir trail and by pass Vernal which was nice. You also get an amazing view of the fall from the side.

    Happy hiking! :)

Hiking the Mist Trail up to the top of Vernal Falls was my first real hike ever and what a great way to start getting into hiking! The beginning of the hike is definitely steep and hard on your quads, once you hit the bottom of Vernal you’re greeted by beautiful stair way to heaven. At least that’s what it looks like but quite tiring on your quads again. It’s quite wet so be careful and wear good shoes and expect to get wet. The view is spectacular; lush greenery and trees, rainbows, and droplets of mists in the air. The only downfall about this hike is how crowded it is so expect some traffic along the way.

    Happy hiking! :)
