The outermost set of wide-ish singletrack trails form a nice 9-10 mile loop around the park. Compared to a lot of MTB rides in the area that involve extremely steep climbs the topographically-following nature of this trail keeps most of the climbs long inconsistent. Well-traveled and prepared makes for fast riding in the down hills and rolling flats which is pretty fun, but not much in the way of static technical features.

The foot traffic we encountered was friendly and got out of the way quickly, there was a moderate amount of Mountainbike traffic being a perfect weather Saturday, but it was very manageable and didn't mess our rhythm up. Having not been there before navigating was kind of a pain even with an abundance of trail markers. Download or print out a good trail map from the web if you intend to do the full loop.

Starting at the bottom of the hill is a mostly continuous set of trails that climb all the way to the top of Mount Sutro. Is wide singletrack-y with some rocky out crops at top. It is not particularly technically challenging but it can offer a good workout on the climb. Coming back downhill is a good opportunity for speed, but there are a lot of pedestrians and dog walkers out on the mountain. The blind corners don't help matters any.
