Matt Cook reviewed Broken Top Loop Trail

Lovely area. Can't go wrong with any trail around here. I went from Green Lakes Trail, camped at the base of the mountain, and summited the next morning. The walk is pretty straight forward. There is one 20 foot vertical wall at the top. It is recommended to use ropes on this wall. Be careful!

Here is a video showing the summit route:

Giant waterfalls where you can walk any distance from 0-20 miles. Good to view in the snow even, parking lot has been clear most of the time.

Great easy snow hike with a shelter you can enjoy for camping. Shelter fits 4 so bringing a tent can be needed. Trail is easy even in winter, all on a forest road. I did a video here so you can see what it looks like recently. My only complaint is that people used the bathroom way too close to the shelter this year. My dog dug up some presents haha.

Very nice view. The pillar is so unique. The hiking is nice here. There are backpack camping spots.

Here is my Vlog showing a recent look at the place:

Two epic waterfalls can be seen here, Salt Creek and Diamond Creek Falls. Salt Creek is a quick walk while Diamond Creek is longer. This is a good spot to get into snow shoeing. Here is a video of my time here:

Easy hike into a calm lake. More optional trails so you can get as many miles in as you want. I recorded my time here on video if you want to check it out:

Love this remote spot. 2 mile walk through the slot canyon. Open year around. All kinds of side options for scrambling, which is dangerous.

Just camped at this place. Was awesome! Quick hike in. Very secluded compared to Waldo. Gotta check out the small peninsula at the south end. Here is a video I made on the place:
