    Mark Ryan reviewed Búðir-Miðhús Trail

This is a fantastically interesting trail geologically. We saw two seals swimming in the water during the beginning's coastal section, sat and watched them for about an hour. We also came across boat wreckage in that area. The trail gets and stays rocky for most of the way. It can be challenging to stay on the path as it is a bit vague at times. Many interesting rock formations keep this interesting, with consistent background scenery and a dome-shaped hill for flavor. The hike is a bit flat which I would consider it's only drawback.

Great stuff. Short but challenging hike with some ladder and chain usage toward the end. The view at the top is stunning, we stayed for about an hour.

Good! But don't go during the off season. Avalanches prevented us from crossing the pass and eventually had to get choppered out. Pack extra wet gear because it rains a lot. Beautiful scenery and a very fun experience.

I had the misfortune of doing this in sub-freezing weather, but the counter fortune of it lightly snowing while I was on the hike. This made for some painful moments, an icy beard, beautiful views and a hike that is deeply embedded in my memory. This hike gets a little tougher at the end when you come down as it gets a bit steep, rocky, and tough to keep track of the trail. But a much recommend hike from me. Five star, five star.

Nice little urban park trail. Great views, decent climbed, a bit heavily trafficked for my taste but worth doing!

This is a bit tougher than the climb and distance let's on; feels longer than 4 miles! Nonetheless, this is a rewarding ascent with some breathtaking views along the way. The trail can be a bit tough on your knees as you are constantly navigating over big rocks. bring sunscreen as there is limited cover.

Note: the hike is actually 3.3 miles. A quick hike with some very nice scenery and vistas at the top. Very little traffic in the morning. A couple steep points but nothing really too challenging.

A fun trail to ride, some sections are a bit dicey with an incredibly thin trail and margin of error. Horse traffic can be a bit tough to navigate. Overall, though, this is a nice trail for novice riders.

Solid hike on the AT with a fantastic view at Annapolis Rock.

Great views. Some steep incline toward the top add a bit of challenge. The topography changes fairly dramatically for such a short hike which is great. Pretty smooth trail surface.

Mark Ryan reviewed Avalanche Lake via the Trail of the Cedars

Not too hard, families and novice hikers can pretty easily do this hike. The view of the lake is amazing, we spent close to an hour there. Along the way you will hike through a beautiful, pleasant smelling pine forest with several awesome looks at nearby peaks. The trail is well maintained and easy to hike.
