went last week for a picnic. nice trail, not too steep, some people but not terrible. Lots of flowers, which is nice, but with the flowers came LOTS of bees/flies.

gorgeous, very well marked trail. starts easy enough, meandering up icehouse canyon next to a babbling stream (even saw a dipper!), but really kicks in with a series of tough switchbacks on the way up to icehouse saddle. Saddle was windy, with lots of clouds/fog. Some snow en route to the second saddle, but the final ascent to the peak was still snowed in. Probably doable with crampons, or even boots with very deep treads.

Beautiful wilderness, lots of birds. Be aware that there are five pretty serious river crossings - I went just after a storm, and the fords were chest deep at times. Probably best to attempt the hike in the spring, when there's less water. trail can be quite exposed in places.

Lovely views and a gorgeous, swollen creek. However, the trails is poorly marked (I ended up in a canyon too narrow to cross) and full of graffiti

Nice little trail up in Cleveland Forest. Trail is not steep or particularly tiring, but I could imagine it being a bit unpleasant during the summer due to how exposed one is in the low chapparal. Beautiful views of Temecula/Elsinore, and Laguna Hills on the other side. Well worth doing, and not particularly difficult. It escapes me how this is rated difficult and Santiago Peak is rated moderate.

Beautiful trails, very peaceful and empty. Top of the mountain is used a telecom site, so noise and antennas ruin the view from the peak a little bit. LONG hike, gets dark early in the canyon, so plan to set out in the morning.
