Short, easy hike with a beautiful reward! Kids liked this hike and were wowed by the waterfall.

Easy hike for kids with an amazing view. This was my niece's first hike (3 years) and she did well, but tired by the end. The rangers at the top were great about answering questions and explaining to my kids how the caves formed and why they were dangerous. Please listen to all the signs and do not go inside!

Absolutely awesome hike with beautiful scenery and the lake is stunning and a great place for a picnic! We hiked this trail with four kids (7, 7 1/2, 9 1/2, 9 1/2) and they were tired but did great, although they have hiked quite a bit. The littlest had the most difficult time. Rocks, roots, and switchbacks makes this trail challenging for the out of shape hiker. The view is worth it!

Nice walk for kids and the short walk is ADA accessible. Very easy for families, but not for people looking for a good work out. We didn't hear any gunshots, thankfully, as others have. Interesting natural site.

We did the upper level and it was very interesting with climbing over boulders, up walls, and through tight spaces. Definitely wear layers as it's very cold in the caves (you can see your breath). Hiking boots and headlamps are a must. You will need your hands for climbing. Wished I would have had some gloves. Overall, a fun hike that was challenging but not too strenuous.

The hike is very beautiful, but when we went, there was a lot of mud in the trail, which made it difficult for the kiddos. Be prepared with good boots! The view at the top was well worth it!

We completed this hike with 4 kids (two 9 yr olds, 7, and 6 yr old) and it was great! Not too much elevation gain, lots of beautiful scenery including the creek and waterfalls, and no mud! The fish hatchery was a great resting place and the kids loved being able to feed the fish. We would definitely do this hike again!
