Lynette Anderson reviewed Ripley’s Run and Ted's Trail

This is a nice day hike. There is some elevation gain, and not much shade, but nice views of the lake. Two or three waterfall scrambles that were not difficult.

We did this loop counter clockwise, which allowed us to go down the very steep and boring paved fire road at the end. The steepest and rockiest part in this direction was after the spring.

We took the trail that hugged the lake and it was 2.5 miles. There are a couple places that we needed to scramble to get across the creeks, but overall it was not difficult.

This is a great area for in the city hiking. The labyrinth of trails makes for lots of options. There is some elevation gain that keeps it interesting. The maps at the beach and picnic parking areas are not accurate, but once on the trails, there are great maps.
