Absolutley beautiful hike. Very steep and steady incline the entire way. Use the map to keep on the trail for the first 1km then it becomes clear. Trees will open up to an incredible view of Peter Lougheed park including Lower and Upper Kananaskis lake. Hiking poles are helpful for the descent.

Very short hike roundtrip, about an hour and a half. Beautiful views at the top, mountains in almost all directions. The elevation is a great workout for the legs, hiking poles helpful for the decent.

Snow covered, as to be expected this time of year. Snowshoes/crampons not necessary just yet.

Trail is well-worn but snow and ice covered for the majority. Crampons and/or hiking poles are ideal. Gradual incline throughout. Beautiful views of kananaskis valley and Nakiska ski hill, quite windy at the top.

Not a strenuous hike, can be done in about 3-4 hours with lots of breaks. The larch trees are in their prime right now! Plenty of beautiful places to stop for lunch and admire the scenery. Elevation is gained and lost throughout the trail, minimal scramble to the top for the view.

Beautiful trail! It can take longer than expected because you want to enjoy the views. Definitely hike clockwise.

Hiking trail doubles as a biking trail for the first while, so its nice and wide. You'll get your feet wet trekking across the first valley, very refreshing on the way back down. Bring some flip flops! First climb opens to another valley with great views. Last ascent is tougher than the first with little tree coverage. Overall a great trail!

Majority of the trail is on a wide gravel road, lots of bikers, great to let dogs run. Use the gps to find the path that leads up to the cave. The ascent is steep but doesn't take long. The cave is cold, but you can explore very far back! A headlamp, gloves and extra layer recommended.

Consistent elevation gain along entire trail. Beautiful views through the trees, some switchbacks as you reach the top. Incredible view of the Bow Valley Parkway east and west as well as down Hwy 93 into Kootenay. Keep a steady pace and you'll be done in less than 3 hours!

Be prepared to take your boots off to cross the river, unless you have a vehicle that can cross a couple feet depth of water! The GPS on the app was very helpful for finding the trailhead. Elevation gain is steady through the forest with beautiful views through the trees. Half the distance is completed by the time you get to the treeline. Then the scramble begins. Once you think you're close, its over another ridge. The very last scramble looks worse from a distance than it truly is. The view of Devils Head and Ghost River makes it all worth it! There is a small unused fire lookout to hide from the wind and have lunch. Poles recommended for the descent!
