So close to Boston and so beautiful! Easy walk with gorgeous views of the ocean bay. Beautiful meadows, nicely groomed carriage roads and trails. Great for all ages and dog walking. Nice benches are available to take a break or have lunch.
Plenty of parking. The fee is $6 per person to enter the park. Well worth it!

Just did it! Gorgeous 360 degrees view on the summit. We did Barlow Trail out and back because Winslow trail is much steeper and difficult to manage after a rainy day. The trail was very muddy, a LOT of roots, and not to easy to go down. But the views on the summit are worth it: gorgeous mountains, lake and forest.

Nice and very manageable trail. Views from the top are breathtaking as almost everywhere in Acadia.

Love this trail! Walking along the river is relaxing, the waterfalls are very pretty. Then slight elevation on the second half of the loop, but very easy. This trail could serve as a nice break between a couple of rigorous hikes. Just lovely in the fall.

Nice moderate trail, but so crowded. We go there only if we have no time to drive to New Hampshire. The views are very average for New England; cannot even be remotely compared with Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire trails.

We did this trail again today. It is even more beautiful in the fall. Probably the best Eagle Lake view ever, completely opened. You will see the brightest blue of the lake surrounded by gorgeous yellows and reds of the autumn leaves and the shining greens of the firs. Very little effort for a huge reward. The trail is nice and dry now, very well marked and really easy. Do not miss it - you can take it from the Eagle Lake carriage road: just walk 0.1 mile on the Eagle Lake trail and you will see a signing post leading to Conners Nubble.

We did Acadia Mountain out and back today. This trail is just incredible in the fall. Not a difficult trail and meticulously groomed. The views from the summit are breathtaking. We hiked so many trails in Acadia and all of them are amazing, but Acadia Mountain is a 'must do' if you are visiting the park. It is only 2 miles out and back, so it is good for a nice afternoon hike.

Nice and relaxing nature trail to the ocean. The views of the open ocean are awesome, especially at sunset. Very enjoyable after a long and difficult hike (we did it after Parkman Mountain and Bald Peak)
