Nice walk to warm up for Rubidoux. Lot of homeless evidence.

first incline is a butt kicker than easy hike across the ridge

just another walk really. good for conditioning. Enter from 14th or from the main entrance. Dirt trails give a better workout, and plenty of rocks for bouldering. Great sunset views from the cross or the rock benches past the cross.

short, easy, good short walk if you are in the area, otherwise not worth the drive if coming from far

Closed due to fires, grafittit, vandalism. Falls only accessible if you are with the clean up crew or you will be cited for trespassing. Legal trail (STEEP) will get you close enough to hear the water. Park below Almond anywhere permit is not required

Just there today...my only pet peeve (no pun intended) is when people do not clean up after their dogs, worse yet is when people 'clean up after themselves' but leave the plastic bags in the weeds. Just kick the stuff to the curb and left nature do its thing!!!

Been hiking here the past 6 years. There are soooo many ways to go once you get here. To avoid the parking fiasco as well as the traffic hazard, you can actually park at the true start of Skyline located on Chase. across from the reservoir (see map). My favorite trail is to Tin Mine and the water where you will see snakes, red salamanders and frogs. You get there by continuing straight ahead past the information board. A second option is to do the conditioning hike up the fire road (continue to the right on the dirt road, to the doppler if you wish). A third option is to start at the pavement and rather than curve to your right, cross over the metal curbing and go straight. From there you can go in as far as you like...some pretty steep butt kickers or easy trails--your choice.
