Lindsey Reynolds reviewed Grinnell Glacier Trail

Hands down one of the best hikes I have ever done. Gorgeous view the entire way. Hiked on 6/17 and didn’t start until about 1 pm. The trail was still closed about 3.5 miles up, but still absolutely worth the hike anyway. Thick vegetation make this a bear’s haven and makes it easy to walk up on them. I saw a brown bear with 3 cubs. She was pretty stressed considering people were blocking her in front and from behind trying to get pictures and a good view. The trail is wet in some places from snow runoff and there are even some the small waterfalls because of it. It was fabulous! This trail really shows off what Glacier has to offer.

I went May 3 and was the only person on the trail until I was leaving. The falls are raging with the snow runoff. The last 1/2 mile drive to the trailhead was closed so I parked and walked in. I’m not sure why it’s closed unless it has something to do with the logging going on nearby. My Fitbit clocked everything at about 5 miles total. I did all the falls, starting with the lower Falls and worked my way up the loop. There are some inclines, which is why I think it was rated moderate. All the falls were breath taking. The trail is well maintained. A few downed trees here and there and I did meet a little snake on the Upper Falls trail switchbacks down to the water. It’s hard to get pictures that capture the size and beauty of this place. Idaho is so underrated...

Lindsey Reynolds reviewed Rimrock Conservation Area Palisades Park Loop Trail

Lots of different little trails in this area. Definitely get a map at the trailheads if you’re looking for the waterfall. Like someone mentioned earlier, it’s on trail 107, not the loop trail that the directions take you to from this site. The parking area on Indian Canyon road is the closest to the falls. The trail down to the falls looked too easy to slide down so I was scared to do it alone. :( I went May 2nd and the wildflowers are blooming. Lots of litter and people leaving trace. If you don’t care about nature, please stay home...

Lindsey Reynolds reviewed Snow Falls Trail #189

I went on a Tuesday in April and it was beyond fabulous. I got there at noon and saw 2 other people. The road up is dirt/gravel but was well maintained. There is a sign at the trailhead and the directions from AllTrails was right on point. You do have to park on the side of the road but there was very little traffic on this little back road when I went. The falls are raging with all the snow runoff. Upper Falls was my favorite but both are beautiful. The trail is also well maintained. A few muddy areas from all the melted snow but not bad at all. This little trail and waterfall exceeded my expectations! It was a fun day!

My absolute favorite stop on my little Oregon Coast road trip. There is a trail that leads up behind the lighthouse. Take it if you can! It’s the best view of the lighthouse and ocean. And use a panorama mode to capture it all. I added my favorite picture I’ve ever taken to this gallery. You just can’t beat the Oregon Coast.

I enjoyed this trail way more than I thought I would. I got there at 7 am and was the first one there on a Sunday morning. When I came down at 9, the parking lot was full and cars were waiting for spaces. The lookout is stunning and walking along the ridge is breathtaking. Definitely take the side trail to Elk Mountain Road Overlook when you get to the top. The view is stunning. I added pics!
