This was a great hike, with some very rewarding views in the end. Definitely on the harder side of moderate in certain spots, but if you take your time and be weary of your surroundings it is well worth the effort. My friend and I actually took a couple harder routes going straight through the switchback instead of following the trail so we had some steeper incline points.

Also, make sure to be careful if you follow those man made trails through the switchbacks! We ended up taking the wrong one and went an interesting way down the mountain. It was a tonne of fun, but I am glad I had GPS with me at that point.

Be weary of bears and make sure to make a lot of noise. There was a black bear and a grizzly bear at different points of the trail, and park rangers had to re route us.

    Pros:
    - Beautiful views
    - Rewarding hike, well worth the effort
    - Easy to follow trail (if you don't do what we did haha)

    Cons:
    - Very popular mountain biking trail, so VERY busy with lots of bikes.
    - Certain spots were pretty steep, so make sure to watch your footing
    - Active bear habitat, so be weary and make lots of noise.

Kyrstyn Mrochuk reviewed Kindersley Pass / Sinclair Creek Loop

    Pros:

The meadows are absolutely gorgeous and worth it in my opinion!!
The incline is steady which is easier for more beginner people

    Cons:

Currently cant summit because of waist deep snow
A mama grizzly and her two cubs have a habitat on that mountain so be careful and be prepared!

Forested hiking route to a quiet lake in a mountain valley.

    Pros:
Mountains are visible from the lake (unfortunately it was rainy during my hike so they were covered by clouds).
Almost has a rainforest vibe to it! Very wet with lots of ground brush.
Saw a wild pheasant on the trail as well as a few small animals.
The hike was very quiet with no passerbys.
Great quick hike for all skills levels!

    Cons:
Lots of hiding places for bears and less traveled, so I was a bit warier on this hike than the others I did around the area.

Kyrstyn Mrochuk reviewed Dog Lake Trail

    Pros:
    Good for all skill levels
Different hiking options on the trail (It is 2.7 km one way and we took the loop to East Kootenay Trail, so totaled about 7 km instead of 6)
Lots of wildflowers and great lookout points

    Cons:
It was cloudy so I didn't get great mountain views - still worth it!
