Kunthea Prum reviewed Willow Spring Path and North Dam Road

I took another hike in mid fall hoping to catch some more nice late fall foliage and was not dissapointed. It's an easy walk but rewarding esp in a warm sunny November day and with all the colors of fall still around. I like how pretty these berry trees along the path, I don't know the name but they're quite picturesque.

Kunthea Prum reviewed Cross Fells Trail and Half Mile Road

A nice short and fairly interesting trail. I took the side trail to Wright's Pond for a side sight seeing trip. Quarter Mile pond's fall foliage is absolutely beautiful esp from Woodland Road's trail. The fall foliage from Spot Pond is nice as well esp of Great Island in the middle of Spot Pond.

The view from the trail is pretty picturesque with a variety of things to see. I hike a bit too late in the evening today so I will have to return tomorrow earlier so I have more time to soak in the scenery.

It's the shortest trail to the summit of West Rattlesnake but it is really steep with some scrambles. I didn't had much time so I took this route to catch the sunset over the squam lakes.

I underestimated the trail and brought barely a quarter of a 16.9 ounce water and ran out when I got about 80% to the summit. The hike down was much easier so I didn't needed any water.

The views from the summit of West Rattlensnake was absolutely memorable so it was totally worth the quick hike. This was my second hike to the summit of this mountain this year.

Kunthea Prum reviewed Mount Sunapee, Andrew Brook Trail

I've hiked this trail this past Sunday looking for a moderately easy hike and for some fall foliage. It was good but nothing memorable. I didn't like how muddy the trail was and there wasn't much interesting to see along the way. I do like the constant soothing sound of the running water in the brook and the view from the summit. Much of the summit is still in the treeline so you've got to look for just the few summit spots that doesn't have tree obstructing your view.

I've managed to take a few memorable panorama shots that look over the entire landscape so that makes the trip worthwhile for me. Some reviewers say the summit is not a worthwhile hike. I strongly disagree. I think it's the hike and view from the summit that makes the trip worthwhile.

Kunthea Prum reviewed Winslow Trail and Barlow Trail Loop

A pretty good trail that offers a solid half day hike. I was doing a practice run using two trekking poles and got a solid workout going up Winslow trail which is fairly steep. I came back down on Barlow Trail and was pleasantly surprised to find so many mushrooms on that trail.

I've just completed this trail yesterday in 9.5 hours including one hour at the summit. I went up Lion Head and came down on Tuckerman Ravine trail. It's my third time up this trail and this was my toughest mainly due to oncoming cramp. It was foggy and cloudy so can't see much at the observatory but the journey was the reward.

I used to come here regularly to fish, now I simply enjoy a walk around the pond. It's a beautiful trail especially the western part of the trail. There is a little peninsula that sticks out and a side trail that runs though it that I enjoy going on side trip. The view from the end of this peninsula is remarkable.

This is one of my favorite trail in the Blue Hills. I especially like Eliot Tower the most. A great place to have a picnic in the picnic area.

What an interesting place with so much water lillies in the impoundment. As for wildlife, we saw a blue heron, an egret, swan and plenty of ducks. For such a nature's paradise, I would expected the place to attract even more exotic wildlife.

I plan on returning under better condition, like earlier in the morning when all the water lilies are blooming. Even still it was a memorable walk. I especially like the observation boardwalk on Main Dike trail.

A short and good walk in Medford with plenty of parking. The park is pretty scenic and is undergoing a lot of renovation. I esp like the fishing pier which has been renovated into a nice observation pier now. There is a wildlife observation tower at the tail end of the loop but I wish it was taller as Boston's skyline is partially obscured.

Kunthea Prum reviewed Tidal Basin and Hains Point

The Tidal Basin area now is my new favorite destination in Washington D.C. The view especially for the cherry blossom festival is absolutely incredible. We did the whole loop around the Tidal Basin before walking down to Hains Point so it was a long day but memorable. I especially like the view from the Jefferson Memorial.

This is the best walk in Philly taking you to all the major historic attractions. I extend it to the harbor and we walk along the river exploring Independence Seaport museum as well. I like it that Chinatown is nearby on Arch street as well so we went there for dinner.

This is one of the most scenic urban park that I've ever seen. The grand basin area in particular is amazing which overlook the art museum. The attractions in this park, the art museum and zoo are a must see destination if you're in St Louis. I find the history museum a bit of a bore though.
