Nothing to look at, saw the back of a few people's backyards and some tall grass.

I was looking for a trail where I could see wildflowers in early April, and this trail did not disappoint. Loads of tiny ground wildflowers. Violets, trillium, trout lily, wild ginger, dutchman's breeches, squirrel corn... Like others mentioned, the best of the hike is up to the waterfalls. Beyond that was mostly just exercise.

If you're mountain biking, Snow Hill is the place to go. Mtn biking is not allowed on the other hiking trails in Little Big Econ forest. Snow Hill = Jones East Tail Head. From this trailhead you can access at least 6 legs of mtn bike trails with varying skill levels: Two Bridges, Ditch of Doom, Outback Loop, River Trail, Snake Trail, Yahoo. (See photos where I posted the trail map.) Very fun, pretty scenery that takes you through swamp, marsh, river, creek, forest, and palmettos. I wore myself out playing on this trail, good for solo and group rides.

Perhaps January isn't a good time of year to go--there wasn't much to look at. About 70% of the trail was all but ruined from all the deep horse prints in the ground. I had to set my mtn bike to the lowest gear, even with full suspension, and even then it was like riding on the back of a hayride over cobblestone. Painful and tedious. But-- the other 30% of the ride was cool... through an elevated aisle between palm trees. My trail dead ended into the 417, which was very anticlimactic considering all the work I went through to get past the horseshoe pits and mud. I will not bike this trail again. The view at the parking lot was more rewarding than the trail, at least for me.

ASPENS!!! If you are looking for aspens, go to this trail now!! Plenty of lemon-lime, golden, and even pink aspens scattered all around this trail, reaching their peak right now.

I arrived at 9:30 AM on a Thursday, and had no issue finding a parking space. Didn't see anyone on the trail for probably an hour, and as the day went on, more people arrived. Amazing views and scenery, and a little bit of everything for terrain: streams, plains, rocks, and trees. The views on this trail took my breath away. I came out for the sole purpose of seeing the aspens turn, and I couldn't have picked a better time and place. Although there are many aspens, I didn't necessarily see a any super dense groves of them, like we tend to see in photos--where it's nothing but trunks and yellow leaves. However, the views on this trail made me forget all about that! There are TONS of clusters of aspens, I couldn't get enough of them. Great challenging hike but short enough for a beginner like myself.

While you're there, keep heading south on route 67 towards Cripple Creek, about 10 mins down the road. SPECTACULAR views right now.
