Hiked 4/14/17: This is the most scenic walk/hike I've ever been on! It was windy, but clear blue skies and so many wildflowers this time of year. It's really only a walking trail, but we went off trail which added a little intensity and distance. You must take the stairs/ladder down to the beach...there are several picnic tables in the parking lot overlooking the beach. There are also restrooms.

Hiked 4/5/17: The last leg of the drive in is dirt and quite bumpy...not at all for those that worry about dust on their cars. The trail was absolutely beautiful this time of year with everything being so green. We did end up lost after getting some bad info from someone fishing, so we didn't get back to the car until an hour after sundown. Thank goodness for headlamps! Lots of cows along the trail and frogs and crickets on the way back. The signage could definitely use some updating and there are no restrooms anywhere near the trail, so be prepared. Enjoy!

Hiked 4/10/17: We came in on the Weimar side and the rocky dirt road to the trailhead is best accessed with a truck or all wheel drive vehicle. The trail was really nice and mostly narrow along the river. You do go into a well shaded area to get to the falls and the trails ends at them...and they are stunning! My friend made her way to the top of the falls, but we didn't want to attempt rock climbing...lol! There are portable restrooms at the trailhead, which are helpful. It was a short hike, but perfect for after work during the week when time is limited.

1st ever hike on 3/28 in the afternoon. There was a bit more uphill than my body cared for, but inspires me to exercise more so it will be easier next time. I didn't take the trail down to the falls, but I did go up above it to see how pretty they were. Another goal for next time! Beautiful scenery and very clear path.
