Awesome trial with a lovely beach at the beginning and an amazing lookout at the end! Well worth the muddy, scramble-y trail! Wear good shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy! A walking stick would also be a good idea. A great hike!

Great loop close to South Boulder! If your dog has a voice and sight tag they can be off leash too! Loved it!

Did these trials today with two pups. They are nice trials with good views. Make sure you are watching signs as we missed the last one to Sawmill and had a much longer hike! It was pretty but we are beat! There is no water on the trail so make sure and pack enough for your pup too, especially on warm days. We saw several mountain bikers and most were friendly and courteous. Enjoy!

Great hike to a beautiful high mountain lake! Not too many people and very scenic up a wide valley. We didn’t get to Mormon but Lyle Lake is a perfect stop for lunch!

Getting there: the reviews were correct: it’s 10.6 Miles to the TH once the pavement ends and add 105 begins. Set your odometer. Road is a well-maintained forest service road until about mile 8 where there are more rocks and drop offs. Beautiful though! Use the pull off on the left and hike up to the TH unless you have high clearance.
