Kirk Nankivell reviewed Peavine Vista Loop Trail

Just suggested an edit for the trailhead location for this. The entry at Poeville Ln. is blocked off and you cannot enter here with a vehicle (hiking only). Entry is about 10 min east at the top of Kings Row street.

Trail was fun and a few challenging obstacles. Definitely need a high clearance 4x4.

Lots of wild flowers in bloom. Ran across a Jeep and a homeless guy walking down from the peak.

Great trail running! Narrow track in most places with some rocky sections, smooth dirt, sand, etc. Some beautiful birch tree sections too.

Awesome place to train. Saw 2 mountain bikers which would be fun as well, but lots of blind curves so you'd have to be careful ripping this trail.

Day 1 prepping for Moab Marathon. Ran maybe 35% of the way up and 85% coming down. My recording shows 2 hrs 33 min at 9.1 miles going out and back.

Beautiful sunset and a fun run in the dark to the moonlight on the way back. The last 2 miles or so turned the headlamp on as it was a bit too dark.

Waterfall is still running great and tons of wildflowers abloom.

Awesome hot springs! Came on Wednesday afternoon/evening and had the hot springs to myself. Beautiful location with the nice cool river you can jump in and cool off.

There are 3 tubs. A big one, a more bathtub sized one, and then a natural variation that has a bunch of rocks holding the water in place (I liked this natural one the best although it has the least amount of water).

The hot springs are actually hot and I'd estimate the first tub is around 100-102° with each tub getting progressively cooler as the water makes it way to them.

Also, realize this is a natural hot spring so the water has lots of minerals and smells of sulfur. The big first tank has the clearest water, but there is still sediment within it.

    Will definitely come back!

Beautiful landscape with few people on the trail. Elephant seals were hanging out at the coffee at the end and even a deer was chilling on the bluffs.

Did it barefoot and it was quite enjoyable for the most part. A lot of thistles and poison ivy on the beginning and a few red and colonies hear the end, but a very nice walk nonetheless.

Beautiful spot to see a lot of wildlife away from tourists, there was no one else on the trail when we were there... but I pulled off about 25-30 ticks from my sandals and legs as they began crawling up my body.

It was unbelievable how many ticks there were, I've never in my entire life seen such an infestation.

Great hike, but quite difficult given the amount of snow if you aren't prepared. You won't want/need snow shoes, but crampons / ice cleats will make this hike much easier and doable.

The lakes are full of snow but still very beautiful. Lots of little waterfalls everywhere. Bring sunglasses!!! I forgot mine and was seriously regretting this oversight.
