A nice leg burner and challenging scramble at the top. Wish I had hiking poles, as I got caught up in a very slippery section while descending and basically crab walked until someone offered me their pole. Thought I was going to be a human toboggan and slide right down the mountain! If you do not have poles, stick to the boulders on the right, as you will have something to hold onto (gloves helped a lot). Just because this hike is popular, does not mean it is easy. Bring proper gear (hiking shoes, poles, gloves). We completed the hike in 3 hours with a bit of jogging on the way down.

What a hidden gem! We have done this hike twice; once on the July long weekend and once on a weekend in September. We were the only ones on the trail both times. Not sure why people do not do this trail as it would be a great first summit. Trail is clear and is a gradual incline going up. Scramble was easy at the top. Views from the top are incredible. We were able to see an avalanche in the distance and a rainbow on the trail which was awesome. Highly recommend this one!

This was a challenging hike for us Prairie folk. We went after a rain storm and it was slippery and muddy. Absolutely brutal descent because of this. We lost the trail numerous times but ran into several people that helped us find our way. Stunning views were worth all the risk. Would not recommend after a rain storm.

Such an awesome hike with a gradual incline. A bit of a thigh burner, but nothing too difficult. We loved the little house in the woods, which was a great spot for some creative photos. The little lake was a great stop as well. View from the top is beautiful. It was a bit cold and windy up there. Completed the hike in 4 hours with all the stops along the way.

Very crowded hike, mainly because it is very accessible and the scenery is incredible. We have completed this in summer and winter, but prefer it in Winter. You have to do this one at least once if you are in the Banff area, even if the crowds are a bit of an annoyance.

What a magical trail; I felt like I had found heaven on earth! If you are going to visit Multnomah, this trail is a must. There were an obscene amount of people at Multnomah, but barely anyone on this trail. Highly recommend is you are a waterfall lover like me!

A great shorter hike with incredible views from the top. A bit of a thigh burner with a gradual incline. Took us 2.5 hours with a stop for lunch and photos at the top

Great hike with incredible views of the Canyon. Do not expect to see the waterfall, because you are hiking to the top of it. There is a small waterfall near the end of the hike. Took us 2.5 hours to complete

The most sketchy hike we have completed thus far. We went after it had rained and it was a giant slip and slide. Fell down a hill on this one and ended up with some big gashes out of my legs. Highly recommend spikes and poles for this one. We noticed there was a group going with poles and spikes; really wish we had found the name of the guide doing this trail. Best to go on a dry day. Views are incredible, but not worth the risk in my opinion.

Great short hike with an amazing waterfall at the end. We went mid week and only saw a few people on the trail and had the waterfall all to ourselves. Took us 2 hours to complete the hike there and back. Highly recommend!

You have to do this hike! I recommend going with a group, as lots of people get lost in the first section. We went with Mike Karas (DM him on Instagram). He provided spikes and gloves, which were a must on this hike. It is difficult, long and hot. Make sure you bring food and plenty of water. I brought 3L and drank it all. It took us 9 hours to complete the hike with a 1 hour stop at the top for lunch and photos. One of the best and most rewarding hikes I’ve done!

My favourite trail in Manitoba! Such beautiful scenery on this one; a great trail for photo ops. The first section is quite easy with flat terrain that is well marked. The second section is a little more challenging with a narrow trail and a bit of elevation gain. We completed the hike in 4 hours with a stop for lunch and lots of photos. Highly recommend!

Surprised that this trail is categorized as hard; we found it moderate at best. You really have to watch your step on this one as there are lots of tree stumps and jagged rocks to trip over. May want to bring hiking poles or a walking stick. Nice views of Hunt Lake and Westhawk from the trail. There is a rope swing near the end, which was really cool looking, but water levels were very low and didn’t want to risk it. Hike took us 5 hours start to finish with a lunch break and stops for photos.
