Amazing and diverse hike!! Beautiful scenery. Saw a beautiful buck in full velvet as we reached first ridge of trail. Make sure you're prepared for drastic changes in weather. Good boots and poles. Did this hike a couple weeks ago. Storms come in and out quickly and can linger in the mountains. We encountered rain pretty steady with hail and an intense temperature drop. Not the mention lightning. None of which dampened our excitement in reaching our final destination. Saw a few through hikers but had trail mostly to ourselves. Be aware that reaching the trailhead requires or I would definitely recommend a four wheel drive vehicle. You have to cross Dexter Creek or it adds a couple extra miles. The trail itself is a steady uphill of 3000 feet so adding that two miles of I think 6-700 more feet would be gruesome. Don't miss this one!! Unforgettable scenery and experience!! A local favorite they call "Bridge of Heaven". Once you get to top you'll definitely see why!!

Most beautiful, unique hike I've ever done!! Completed a week ago. Waited 5 days for trail to open. Well worth it!! No bears despite just opening. Go early. Popular hike. Pack a lunch to enjoy at lake. Lots of wildflowers and plenty of photo opportunities!! Don't miss this one!! It's not everyday you get to see icebergs in July!! Easy gradual incline. Diverse terrain. Bring water. Pit toilets about halfway and at lake. Thanks NPS!!

Nice trail. Go early as parking is limited at roadside. There is a shuttle stop though. We only met one couple on way up. Had trail to ourselves. Views are amazing especially when you go a little over the pass. There's a waterfall and brilliant blue glacier as well as a valley. Pack a lunch to enjoy as you take in the views. You'll have plenty of company. Marmots, squirrels, and chipmunks are all around. Did not see any goats, bears, or moose. Lots of wildflowers!! Did Highline Trail and would agree that this trail is right up there with it. Would advise good boots and poles. Have to cross two snow fields at a pretty good pitch and this time of year pretty slick. Trail once leaving woods is narrow and exposed with loose rock in places. Pitch is definitely doable for anyone in relatively good shape. Don't miss this one!!

We ended up doing this hike as a plan B because Iceberg Lake Trail was closed. Ended up seeing a grizzly from a distance on mountainside. Decent hike with 3 lakes and a pretty waterfall. Go past waterfall for last lake. Lots of wildflowers. Beautiful views.

Beautiful lake!! Waters of turquoise blue. Plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Gradual incline but doable for families. Pack a lunch to enjoy by the lake. We counted 8 waterfalls!! Go early to beat the crowds!!

Ditto on the construction. Had to finish on road but interesting hike. You experience lots of different scenery along the way. Saw two bison in meadow area pretty close to trail. Views in canyon were breathtaking!! Left from Wapiti Lake parking area. Bring water and sunscreen. Took us 2-1/2 hours.

Great hike!! Snow fields throughout to add to the challenge. Great views. Coyote crossed right in front of us and saw mountain goats at top. Steady but not too difficult path. Took 2-1/2 hours up and 1-1/2 down. Can do lunch while enjoying views at top outside or inside fire tower. Don't miss this one.

Good hike to get the heart pumping!! Lots of rocks and roots so wear good shoes. Some rock hopping at stream crossings. Some nice smaller falls along the way. Lots of flowers beginning to bloom. Fire damage does not dominate trail. Plenty of places to sit and view falls. Took us 3 hours and 45 minutes round trip. Falls flowing nice from recent rains.

Waterfalls everywhere!! Water running hard from recent rains. Great trail. Lots to see-flowers, butterflies, beautiful mushrooms, and too many waterfalls to count!! Indian Flats Falls was really nice with strong flow. Great spot for lunch!! Took us 4 hours and 15 minutes round trip not counting stop at Falls. Don't miss this one!!
