Water is pretty high with run off and gate is still closed so that adds a mile to hike. Chipmunks are out and adorable.

Poorly marked trail...we never did find the lake. But it was beautiful just wandering around on different trails.

Lots of trail options. A simple walk to a moderate hike or more if you take the trail to head up to the BST. We will be back next week as everything was just about to bloom. Should be amazing.

The beginning is a little dull but the higher you go the better it gets. The beaver dams are great but the best part is after. If you do anything off trail it’s closer to 6 miles.

The bridge to the sawmill is broken and we didn’t try to cross it. (This is at the very end of the trail).

    Our rating would be moderate.

Fantastic hike. Lots to see and explore. The loop is more moderate than easy especially in October as it was quite wet and muddy.

Can’t wait to see it in spring!!!!!

Our rating for the loop easy except for the muddy areas.

Different scenery... meadow, Mountain, forest, the valley...
Loop includes one mile of city.... which is kind of a bummer.
Nice creek bench to relax on.

Taking the right path is the best for seniors and kids, the left path has inclines, not really recommended for seniors and young kids.

Some steep parts but good for hikers with no physical limitations.

If you had toddlers this would be amazing for them to buzz around. For more experienced hiker.... um skip it.
