Once you get to the top of the mountain the terrain is flat and an easy hike.

The trail gets a little steep toward the end, but you are definitely rewarded with some gorgeous views and beautiful scenery. My 62 year old Mom and Step-Dad were more than capable to conquer the trail. This trail is a must if you are visiting the Sedona area.

We hiked up the stairs and hiked back down using the trail. It was a great workout. A mile of stairs can be pretty demanding but we had a fun time!

We parked at Gold Camp Road parking area hiked Gold Camp Road to St. Mary's Falls Trailhead and then continued up the trail to St. Mary's Falls. There was lots of snow covering the trail and it was slick in a few spots, but it was definitely doable. The trail was not very crowded, and we were rewarded with beautiful views of the city. We want to hike it again in the summertime when the falls aren't frozen over.

The Canyon View Nature Trail is good for almost any skill level and degree of physical fitness. It is paved with very little incline. There are also a few look-out spots which got to the canyon edge so you can look down into and across the canyon. There is a $7.00 admission for a day pass, but there are several other trails in the Park, and I think it is worth it.

This is one of the more demanding hikes that I have been on. I agree with some of previous hikers in that the trail is not that well marked in areas. We went up the boulder field and back down the trail, which consist of very steep scree in parts. It is not for people that are out of shape, but I felt a huge sense of accomplishment when I made it to the top.

I did this trail on Jan 19, 2013, with a group of geocachers. We hiked all the way to the top of Mt. Kieno and back down. The trail was pretty icy in some spots this time of year, but it was definitely doable. It was pretty steep in some spots, but you are rewarded with some amazing views. We started off early in the morning, so there was little traffic on the trail with us.
