Think of this trail as a trail with multiple options. The first part, up to Frozen Lake, was an easy hike, as long as you don't fear heights. From there, there are multiple options including Burroughs Mt. and a return loop to Sunrise. Then there are 3 peaks to Burroughs Mt. At the first peak you have an option to take another loop back to Sunrise, continue to peak 2 or turn around and return to Sunrise. The hike from Frozen Lake to Peak 1 is fairly steep and had some snow but nothing to worry about. Then you go down hill and back up to peak 2. The most difficult part of the hike was between peak 2 and 3. It was fairly steep and a couple of large snow fields. But the view at the top was worth the hike. Overall, I'm glad I did this hike and recommend it. But you should be in good shape. Some of the inclines are steep and challenging.

Took this short hike with family, including 2 4-yr olds. Went to the falls and back taking the right path. Easy hike with mostly shade. Very little water from the falls but still worth the trip. I want to go back in early spring when there is a lot of runoff. The falls should be amazing then.

The road to Mowich Lake was still closed so we had to walk 5 miles up to the trail head. There was still a lot of snow on the road but none on the trail. Because of the extra 5 miles, we only made it to Spray Falls. But heard later that the trail up to Spray Park was covered in snow so it turned out to be for the best. I highly recommend this trail. the views from Eagle Cliff are amazing and Spray Falls was beautiful. I think going when there is still a lot of snow runoff is best. There were several mini falls along the trail and Spray Falls was amazing.

Raining very hard that day but the hike was good. Views were not that good because of the rain. Would be a better hike on a sunny day.

Nice hike but a couple of steep uphill climbs. The last mile to Eunice lake and from there to Tolmie peak were fairly steep but I saw several children and people obviously not prepared for a hike, but they were managing. Unfortunately for me, the clouds came in and I never saw Mount Rainier the entire trip. But I was able to get some great views of Eunice lake and Tolmie Peak.
