I consider this my home hiking area. Have done it to many times to count due to ease of access to it. Walking briskly you can do the loop in about an hour. There is one stream crossing that has to be done to complete the loop. it is a decent hike considering you are in the middle of a very suburban area.

Initial climb is a good workout. Once up on top of the ridge you pretty much stay there for the rest of the hike. Great views from the rocks.

Great hiking. Great views. Expect to use more than just your feet on Trail A. Trail B and C are not nearly as difficult as A. Definitely a challenge to complete all three sections in a single hike. But rewarding once you do it.

Easy hike. Not much of a view of the river if you just walk down the clear cut.

But a decent view of the Potomac from the rocks. If you take the trail to the right that is about halfway down the clear cut. Little bridge to cross to get to it.

Enjoyed this hike yesterday. Good view from chimney rock. While no view from Wolf Rock is true. The point of going to see Wolf Rock is the rock formation itself. It does not look like much from the main trail but once on the formation it is interesting. Be careful of the crevasses.
