Beautiful. We went clockwise because we wanted an easier descent on our knees. We chose to go the extra climb up to the viewpoint. I'd love to know the elevation to that, because it was harder than the rest of the loop. Really worth it!

Great moderate hike for anyone who has a bit of hiking experience but isn't looking for a major challenge. It starts out with switchbacks but then gets easier. Old growth trees, foot bridges, moss-covered rocks, and of course the lake -- all beautiful things to see on this hike. This might be my new favorite. The access road is also paved and really easy to find.

Definitely some steep spots. We lucked out and got a view at both viewpoints. We took the trail down instead of going down the road. Very popular hike, but for good reason.

We did the full loop. It was very easy to find the trailhead. We went to the falls first and then at the Tie joined up with the Campground Trail which was a steady up and down path. We did this on a day where it rained off and on. There were a lot of puddles. It took us about 2.5 hours including a bit of a stop at the falls.

Next time I might go in the opposite direction - save the falls for the end. It was just beautiful, though!

Great for kids. My three year old did pretty well going down but got tired going up. He is easy enough to carry on the way up.
