Great hike— scenic with water and tree coverage for some shade. It also has buffalo viewing off exit before hike.

7-30-17 slight incline but great hike. Note: This trail multi use, i.e. used by horses too. It has a trail called eagle view that connects which is worth doing. Nearby is a frisbee golf course for those interested in doing a little hike and play with family too.

7-22-17 -WD; sling water/ creek s lot, plus a beautiful forgotten meadow. With aspens -- could be a great fall color hike. It has partial shaded trail and wild flowers, as well as nice backcountry camping spots.

6-10-17 -JN/ OT; started at campground via raccoon trail. We saw a moose sling way. The views are worth it. For family / out of town guests-- you can drive to the view point too.

8-16-15 Rachel; Rocky up and little shade but nice hike close to Denver. Good views of Golden/ panoramic, but very popular so expect lots of pp/ dogs unless you go before 10am.

7-5-15- MB/RB; Starts along Fraser trail/ Rendevous development. It's not marked well so hard to follow when it crosses roads where to connect again. It's used by bikers too so makes hiking difficult on narrow/ moderately steep path.

7-17-15- k mo; Or known as "the bench" trail by locals. It can start or end by campground and / or park up from campground and walk along creek over foot bridge to start. You can go up and back or it connects and circles around by campground/ road partial.

7-7-07 with Himot's. Mostly open or no trees, but there are areas to take breaks with kids/ dogs with shades and rocks to sit on. Depending on find of year you go-- be prepared the water fall could be very light flow.

7-24-05 LS - directions vs what's here: we took 70W to CO74 to upper bear creek rd- right. Follow til fork in road--go right. Road turns into dirt road past state wildlife area.. another girl road - go left 1.5 mi. If see llamas -- gone wrong way. You'll see an uphill start to trail, then lots of aspens and nice meadow. The trail ends at private property, so turn around and back out same way (approx 2 miles each way)

Takes you by river & meadows filled with wild flowers. You feel remote as not s lit of people on trail or views of city. It is marked difficult as there are some sections that have steady incline.
