Beautiful and quick trail if you're en route from Tower Falls area to Mammoth. Quick hike to Wraith Falls, Enjoy a small spray of water, and all the chipmunks everywhere! Shaded trail for most of the way.

I've hiked this every time my family comes up to YNP! The wildlife, flowers and sights are the best part of it all. We usually start at the parking lot just off the main figure 8 loop road. You can continue up the road and start on Dunraven Pass at a higher elevation. (Last time hiked was in August 2014, planning on going back up August 2018.)

One of my favorite places while living in Idaho -- haven't been on this trail since 2016, but the views never disappoint! Be aware there is a per car fee, $5 a day (unless recently gone up), but don't let that deter you!

We went over National Park Week -- what a view! We towed our toddler in a toddler backpack the whole way and we're glad we did! There's a pretty steep trail right before you get to Delicate Arch, that would worry me to have my toddler running loose there. Lots of rocks, be sure to have plenty of water and snacks on you and be sure to apply lots of sunscreen as there's not really any shaded areas. Go as early as you can as the trail will be congested (not to mention the parking lot) by 11am for sure. We made it a point to get there first and we were on the trail at 9:30 and already fighting for a parking spot.

One of the trails we do EVERY year we come! Late July/ Early August we usually see lots of Otters swimming around and lots of fish to look at in Trout Lake. You'll come across the occasional fisherman, but don't let that deter you from walking around the whole lake. Bring a picnic lunch to eat in the shade or on a log. Enjoy the sound of the water going under the footbridge. Very easy. Uphill coming in and downhill going out, make sure you have shoes with great traction.

The views at the bottom make this trail a 5 in my book -- though there are a lot of stairs, it's not one I'd take kids on if you're carrying them and scared of heights. Beneath you on the way up you'll see the remnants of the original rope ladder used to get to the bottom of the falls. I've taken this trail at least three times. At the time of this review, the trail is currently closed for maintenance and construction until the end of July 2018 - as posted on the nps.gov/yell website. So when it re-opens, and you're planning to be in the area, take the time to see the views and get a small amount of mist!
