Easy road & beautiful views. Not a lot of shade of course, so bring sunscreen & water. Easy to navigate.

Worth the drive, definitely less traffic than some other Sedona spots. Some good views of the red rocks and some options to see the ruins (prepare to pay a fee if you want to walk to see them). Around mile 12/13 (after fee area) the road has some bigger rocks (you’ll see a sign that says passenger cars not recommended) and a bit of an uphil climb, you’ll def. want a bit of clearance when you go up. Overall thoughts- there are better off road spots around Sedona , but the low traffic volume and a love of the desert made this a fun run.

The hike is easy but if you do it in the middle of summer and don’t have enough water you may get your butt kicked (..Zona). There are a lot of tour busses and people but the views are worth it.

I’ve been twice- if you want less crowds go during the week. If you go on the weekends there are so many people :( no matter when you go though, you won’t be disappointed. Don’t worry about having a fancy camera, your iPhone or Android will capture great pictures. Yes you have to take a guide. There are a lot of stairs but good for almost any level and age. You won’t be disappointed.

I used to guide backpacking trips on this trail when I was 18 and 19 (32 now!) The full hike was amazing, yes mosquitos, yes cold at night, yes very rainy- but totally worth it for the pristine wilderness and waterfall (see my b and w photo) hoping to go back next year and do this trail again :)

Great for a quick workout, but I tend to go when no one is up there somehow and I can’t help but have this Erie feeling..

I guide hikes up Camelback, love the trail & terrain. Try to go really early to avoid crowds- don’t hike it when it’s over 100.. Echo canyon is my preferred route

Beautiful, easy hike. Just wish it was a bit more off the road. I always see chuckwallas and last time a 4 foot diamondback
