My first 14er and I enjoyed the hike. Pretty straightforward path up and the rock/boulder scramble at the top was different. The top was crowded with everyone finding a boulder to sit or stand on. Took my seal level children (14, 12, 10) on the hike and they all made it but struggled with only a couple days of adjustment to Colorado altitude. I am sure it would have been a different hike without my kids struggles, but we made it up and down in just under 8 hours.

Hiked this trail with my 14, 12, 10, 9, 6, and 4 year old and it was great. Beautiful August day to hike. Trail was quite busy.

The park/battlefield is wonderful. The opportunity to walk around and learn about what happened here is something I wouldn’t encourage anyone to do.

Nice collection of 3 or 4 different hikes here at Babler, each between 2 and 3 miles in length. Can string them together for longer hikes.

This is a nice and fairly scenic walk around the biggest natural lake in Missouri.

A very enjoyable and strenuous 3.4 mile hike. Wintertime allows one to see very far, through the trees and over the various hills on which the hike is taking place. Much different than a spring/summer hike.

Did this hike with my children (12, 11, 9, 7, 6) and my 2 year old on my back. It is a basic rim hike, but the views and the openness to the edge of a steep canyon drop is prevalent the whole way. It does not have the notoriety of the Grand Canyon which we had visited ten days earlier, but there may have actually been more canyon area to view along the way. Central Utah is replete with canyons of all kinds and this hike gives a great view of them. Also, the kids enjoyed the rocks and extra-curricular climbing that was available along the way. My children were much less concerned with the edges of the canyon than I was, so I had to stay on my toes to keep them from getting too close to the edge.

We arrived at the trail-head late in the day and the threat of rain was looming in the distance. Add to this, that I was carrying 50 extra lbs. of our 2 year old and his carrier, and the intensity level of the hike was increased. After the mile and a half of uphill trails and rock-faces, we curved around the final cliff-side and there it was, across the little canyon. We enjoyed 20 minutes of pictures, hiking around the area, and then trying to get back before the rain...which came heavy during our final 50 yards to the van. Overall, it was a GREAT HIKE for me and for our children (ages 12, 11, 9, 7, 6).

Our family hiked this trail in mid-April at around 4pm and we were the only people on the trail. For the short distance and the easy accessibility, it had more than you could want. Within a quarter mile, you were inside the crater, hiking up along the cliffs above Cascade Lake. There were rocks to climb up higher along the way if you desired. There is beautiful Cascade Lake below you, and then the picturesque Lake Tahoe right behind it in the same view. Once you reach the falls, you get to climb over and across rocks to get to standing water that comes from the falls themselves. Our whole family did the hike and we all loved everything it had to offer.

This hike turned out to be a bonus hike as the waterfall is very light due to the drought and thus the river is very low. This allowed our whole family, and me with our 2 year old on my back, to hike up the rocks of the dried out river. We hiked to the base of the falls and the older kids went up the rocks a little bit from there. Great hike. Climbing on the rocks and boulders in the river bed was a lot of fun, and then ending at the bottom of Bridalveil Falls was a very fulfilling conclusion to the short hike.

Our family ventured out on this hike and then it rained on us most of the way. Once we arrived to where Mirror Lake is supposed to be, we found that because of the drought it was Mirror Puddles instead. I am sure when the water level is normal or above normal, there is a beautiful lake that reflects Half Dome, but for us and in the dry conditions currently at Yosemite, it was very underwhelming.

Pretty generic trail, paved from top to bottom. The decline to the Sherman tree is a little taxing, but good hike for the whole family. Sherman tree is massive as expected.

Nice short hike up to, and around General Grant Tree. There is also a cool, old cabin and a hollowed out fallen sequoia tree which was used by early settlers in the area.

Beautiful hike and overlook once at the top. The hike was extra meaningful as I carried 50 pounds of 2 year old son and carrier up the 400+ stairs to the top of Moro Rock.

Used to hike this trial, or portions thereof, with my cousins and Grandpa when we were kids. Very enjoyable then and a nice trail tucked in the middle of the Rochester, Shelby Twp, Romeo region of Michigan.

While visiting the island, our family enjoyed spending a couple hours hiking the interior trails of the island. We visited the Fort with its preserved terrain and restored battlements. We also enjoyed the different vistas that overlooked the circle trail and the surrounding Great Lakes.

I biked this trail years ago as a teenager and loved it. Additionally, if you have swimming shoes, there are some smooth stoned beaches off of the road/trail that are a lot of fun to swim in during the summer months.

This is a nice hike that is connected to Johnson Trail as well. Salt Lick begins at the sign and then heads in and up the bluff right away. It eventually joins up with Johnson and another trail. Salt Lick trail turns right at the Johnson conjunction and dumps out next to Rock City and the storage depot. It is a nice hike with a little bit of elevation and was a nice challenge for my younger children, ages 5 and 6 but they were able to do this and the Johnson trail back to back.

For southern IL and being so close to the Mississippi, it was a nice and fairly brief hike. Five of my children, ages 12, 10, 8, 6, and 5 were able to complete it and the climb on the backside of the bluff with relatively little problems. Not much wildlife, but some nice views once you reach the top and reach the lookouts.

side trail near powder valley trail (which is preferred); a change of pace for folks who often walk Powder Valley, but definitely not a replacement of PV.

Very similar to the other hike at Castlewood Park and very enjoyable. We enjoy the view over the river and the railroad tracks and then walking back between the river and the railroad tracks.

Fun hike to do with my children. Some good elevation for them. A walk along the river, the RR tracks, and also the stairs and the tunnel under the tracks. We have done this hike several times.

The hike to the Dome is okay, but the whole experience in the Smoky Mts led us to hike a section of teh App. Trail as well. Great day of hiking out and back to a shelter next to Clingman's Dome.

I think all of my HI hikes are 5 stars, especially now that I am back on the mainland. Great little hike with wonderful view of the whales in the winter. Saw my first humpback whale submerge on this hike.
