What a fantastic place that is truly “fun for everyone.” It can be hard to find hikes in this area easy enough to bring the family, from very young to not-so-mobile.

The very easy gravel trail/gravel driveway is on private lands for the first mile allowing auto access for the owners, but public is allow to walk the path which stays directly along the water. Lots of people bring their lawn chairs and coolers to hang out in the water on a hot summer day. Plenty of areas to wade, fish, swim... you can walk about 7 miles before it dumps into the French broad river. Walk further down or go during the week to get away from the crowds. Oh, and watch out for naked hippies...I’ve seen all sorts of wildlife on my hikes but never ran into naturists before... somewhere around mile 2 it got a little weird!

Wouldn't call this a "hard" trail by East Tennessee standards. More a mild moderate uphill with some ankle turning rocks in one section. Overall a short trail and about an hour to the falls. It's beautiful. Cascading water with several small falls leading up to end. Lots of people on a summer weekend. Will go again for sure.

This one gets the award for most creek crossings in 2 miles. More moderate as it is mostly uphill to the destination and the footing can be a little rocky in places. Overall a nice hike with lots of green even in the winter. Has a rain-forest feel to it. Mosses, ferns and water everywhere. The waterfall at the end isn't huge but it is pretty. The creek has multiple cascades along the way up.

Great trail. Entrance at Hampton is easy to pass. Overall easy trail with the rocky section being more moderate. Perfect distance for a day-trip. Great waterfall. You won't be alone but it's not overly crowded. Will do it again.

Nice easy creek trail for the quick day-trip with family. Several small waterfalls and rock ledges along the creek make for a scenic hike. Old, creepy cabins are scattered along the trail which my dog was quite interested in exploring. Park is very well kept. Will go back for sure!
