We parked at the 41 entrance and ran up the boyscout trail which is quite steep. Went through the tower road where it connected to the out and back of the Cerro Alto Loop. Amazing views of Los Osos, Morro Bay and all the peaks. Diablo, Black Hills, etc....Highly recommended!

Beautiful trail. Very cold in February but still runable due to lack of snow! 4 hrs to summit and return with snow on top. Can't wait to return in summer!

Did the SJRT50K ultramarathon hosted by Fleet Feet Sports out of Fresno. We started at Finegold campground and did a 16 miles out and back. There was also a 100k going on too for those brave souls. The 50k had over 5,000ft of gain with spectacular views of the Millerton Lake crossing 2 bridges. Will definately do this race next year.

After a rest went on to South Chalone Peak. trails are in excellent condition. Made my way back and down to Bear Gulch and up to Condor Canyon. We set up base camp at the 1st creek crossing approximately 1 mile in. Then we ran to Maggie Lakes 8 miles. Did some swimming and fishing with no luck. Ran back and had fire going by 5pm. Weather was perfect and views spectacular. Did another 4 mile run before coming back home.
