Jonathan Smith reviewed Big Dominguez Canyon

Yes! Yes! Yes! Love Utah, but also love this place! Huge and beautiful canyons. It’s surprising to find landscapes such as this in CO. Such an amazing hike. Beautiful canyon that echos the sounds of time. It can seem crowded, but hike past the newspaper rock and you won’t see many people. When you get to the main rock art look right to see some petroglyphs that are not vandalized. There harder to find but more beautiful because inconsiderate vandals can’t get there. The canyon is more spectacular then the rock art. It’s huge and inspirational. There is no doubt why folks chose to etch their spirits into the rock. Great place, and great energy. Definitely do this hike. You’ll be happy
    You did ;).

Beautiful hike!! Not much elevation change, so it’s good for an easy afternoon. The views are about as good as it gets. This trail connects with lots of others. Be sure to consider spending more time in McInnis by using this beautiful trail as a means for getting further into the wonderful sandstone palace.

Great hike. Great area. It’s rides the rim of the canyon for the most part, and has stellar views. Not much elevation change, so it’s a good hike to take if your not feeling up to something bigger. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Love this hike! The right trail can be a bit difficult to find, so make sure your study the map before you go. It's a pretty easy hike, with very little elevation change. The full loop is well worth the journey. You'll find yourself surrounded by magnificent 1500 canyon walls, juniper, and all the beauty deserts have to offer. The cabin at the end of the loop is the perfect oasis in a land with few opportunities for shade. Get out and enjoy this Colorado gem!!

Amazing little hike!! It's short, flat, and easy. Don't let the view from the parking lot deceive you. The hike drops into a beautiful sandstone canyon filled with petroglyphs and flowers. The walls echo the voices of time, and the river flows with the magic that only the colorado can contain. Check out the alcove near the river, but don't stop their. The views of the canyon from the river are icing on the cake.

This a a very cool and unique trail. The trail is easy, and fun. A lot of people in Colorado chose to overlook the eastern part of the state. This hike is a great excuse to get out of the mountains and enjoy some overlooked areas of the great state of Colorado.
This area is also known for its variety of birds. So when you go be sure to keep your eyes and ears open.

Great local trail. The trail is mainly flat, well maintained, and heavily used. Follow the trail west to an awesome bridge, pine trees, and the cool little towns of laporte and bellview. Follow the trail east to some nice parks and huge cottonwood trees. This trail is great for walking, biking, commuting, fishing, and enjoying. Check it out in the spring during peak run off. The poudre river often overtakes the trail in some spots. It is a sigh to see. I have probably done this trail 100 times. I have never gotten sick of it, and I always find ways to appreciate its usefulness and beauty. If your in Fort Collins, this trail is a must see

Crazy cool hike!! This is a very unique spot in Colorado. The hike is long, but mainly flat. The hike mainly goes across a flat mesa that is around 10,000 feet. The geologic area is out of this world beautiful. Check it out

This is was first national monument is the US but was designated a wilderness because so few people could make the difficult trek to the remote area. It is so cool to see how the unique geologic history of the area manifested itself.

So beautiful! This is one of the most beautiful areas in Colorado, and this hike is a great way to get to know the area. The hike is long and steep, but epic. Camp along the trail, or near the trail head. Do yourself a favor and get out and enjoy this hike.

Great little hike. Go before the glacier is gone! Slept up here a few times. Always had a blast. Easy and fun hike for people of all ages and abilities. The trail head is on private land and costs 5 dollars. Totally worth it!

Such a beautiful hike. The lake is truly a treat. The granite wall behind it is equally as spectacular. We had a ranger stop us and have us wait for a larger group to walk with because there had been recent grizzle sighting in the trail. We did it early in the morning, so it was not too crowded. As the day went on we could tell the trail was becoming more crowded. Do not let the crowds discourage you. The hike is worth every step of the way. Beautiful cliffs, lots of wild flowers, loads of wildlife, and a ton of fun.

Jonathan Smith reviewed Druid Arch Trail

Do this hike! The canyons leading up to the arch are some of the most amazing things your eyes will see. The arch itself is huge and magnificent. The view of the park for the arch is awesome. This is a great way to spend an afternoon in the park. If you have little time in Moab, I would highly recommend spending the time doing this hike as opposed to going to Arches NP. It gives you solitude, a great taste of canyon lands, and a spectacular view of a massive arch.

Great trail through town! There are a lot of beautiful bridges, parks, and benches to view the river. This is a perfect trail for an after commute on bike, or a leisurely stroll through town. The trail is well maintained, heavily used, and a great resource to have in a great town.

Jonathan Smith reviewed Horsetooth Falls and Horsetooth Rock Trail

Great hike! This a a fun, easy, and well maintained trail close to Fort Collins. It is perfect for a two or three hour get away. The view from on top of the rocks is awesome. Climb up there if you can. It is a great way to see the city and the front range from a birds eye view. The trail is often very heavily trafficked. So go early if solitude is your thing.
The falls are awesome as well. Don't expect a huge waterfall. If it is running, the falls are more of a trickle than anything, but the short and easy hike is still with trip.

Jonathan Smith reviewed Monument Canyon Trail

Love this trail. We started from the rim. There is a steep drop into the canyon, which proves to be a fun and difficult way to finish off the journey. Besides the beginning (and and), the hike is flat and easy. The canyon walls and monuments are far more spectacular from the ground than they are from the road. If you really want to experience Colorado National Monument, you need to take this hike. It's easy and beautiful.

Jonathan Smith reviewed Rattlesnake Arches Trail

This is a beautiful hike, spectacular every step of the way. There are a few scrambles, and some significant changes in elevation. But overall it is not too difficult. Bring a lot of water because there is very little shade. Keep an eye out for the rock stacks that mark the trail. The arches are awesome, but I honestly preferred the canyons themselves. It took me about seven hours to compete at a moderate pace with frequent breaks. Enjoy!!

Awesome trail. This is a great place for biking or hiking. There is a beautiful stream and some cool old homesteads. There is a bit of an elevation change once the hike gets going, but it's nothing too crazy. The hike to the top is worth the trip.

This used to be my favorite hike before it was closed for repairs. This is the perfect spot for a short and easy overnight trip. It has twenty odd stream crossings, and is full of beautiful columbines. It has almost no elevation change, and is great for an easy day on the bike. Enjoy!
